10 Things to buy Under $10

So I was kind of out of blog ideas... and I didn't get to watch The Bachelor yet for a Bachelor recap... that'll probably be tomorrow's blog. But for today I thought I'd do a fun "what to buy for under $10" post. Maybe this will help for Valentine's Day or just for a fun little gift. I'm not going to keep it to 1 store- I'll mention a little bit of everything. I'll try to include pictures if it is something that I bought myself...idk if I'll include links to anything because I don't want anyone getting upset if they can't find anything. But I'll try to get pictures!

1) Disney/ Pixar Up Adventure Coin Purse (Boxlunch) $9.90- Boxlunch had some really cute coin purses from Disney... and I was in need of one! So I got this Up one- it had a really cute pom pom that looked just like the balloon on it. I love Up- it's a movie that always makes me cry... and it just makes me happy to use this.

2) Dos Card Game (Target) $5.99- So I loved Uno as a kid and I was surprised and intrigued to see that they had Dos. Curiosity finally got the better of me yesterday when I was getting some un-fun things...and I thought "You know I'm going to buy Dos. See what this is all about." So... that's what I did.

3) The Big Sick on DVD (Target) $10- I got this a while ago at Target and I loved the movie itself. I've only ever seen it at Target and on DVD and it's always been $10! So... that's a pretty great way to spend $10. It's a cute movie and it has Ray Romano in it... so you should get it. I did see the Blu Ray available online also... but I don't think you really need this one on Blu Ray as great as the movie is.

4) Metallic Paint Markers from Hand Made Modern (Target) $6.99- This is basically just turning into a "What Shannon Buys at Target" post lol. I got these because I was like that much away from free shipping a while ago... so I got these pens and I use them for my bullet journal and I can kind of do some Caligraphy with them and I'll probably use them for making cards. These write really well and the glitter is nice and subtle. I think I might pick up some different ones... which are also under $10!

(okay... not the best picture.. but I took it last night when I was feeling sick.)

5) 1.9lb Bag of Sour Patch Watermelon (Five Below) $5- This might be the best $5 I've ever spent. I love Watermelon Sour Patch Kids... it's hard to find them and honestly even the boxes can be really really expensive. And they don't come with a lot and I always want more. So... great value! Great for sharing... just a fun snack!

6) Salt Lamp (Five Below) $5- Five Below had some great stuff when I went yesterday! This Salt Lamp was no exception. I've been looking for one of these for a while, and I really liked the size of this one... and I love how nice and bright it is. It is really, really cool!

7) Funko Pop (Target, Boxlunch, Gamestop, Wallmart, Wallgreens,Hot Topic &lots more) Around $9- You can get these almost anywhere... if you don't know what they are- they're little figures from different pop culture things. My favorite is the Fun Bun from Wreck it Ralph. It's so cute and I just really like collecting these.

8) Disney Tiny Big Feet (Disney Store or ShopDisney) $5.95 - These are so cute! I have a few of these because they're just really fun and I like the look of these more than the Tsum Tsums. I have Stitch, Sully and Winnie The Pooh... plus all of the Christmas ones... I really love these and I'm happy they're coming out with more.

9)Hasbro World's Smallest Lite Brite (American Eagle... probably other places) 9.95- This is something that I found while trying to come up with 2 more things to be honest. I think this looks fun- its something that would make someone feel nostalgic... plus you could put a heart or an I love you on it if you're giving it for Valentine's Day.

10) Itty Bitty's (Hallmark) Around $7- These are other cute little plush things like the Tsum Tsum's that I also like to collect. I have a Han Solo and Chewbaca keychain, Beetlejuice and a Thanos. These are fun and adorable. I really like these!
I forgot I have Mulder and Scully Itty Bitty's too! These are the best!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
