Best Buy Blu Ray Haul

I went to Best Buy recently with my boyfriend of corse... I feel like I talk about him in every single post... but I spend a lot of time with him. We found some good Blu Rays at pretty good prices... so I picked up quite a few movies... and I even watched a couple of them!

First and foremost we found one of my favorite movies that used to be on TV quite a lot but I haven't seen it on recently... What We Do In The Shadows! This was on Blu Ray for 7.99 or 8.99 or something. I was super excited to find that- my boyfriend's never seen the movie so he's excited to watch it too... I think he'll like it. The movie is about a group of vampires that are roommates... it's a fake documentary type of style. Really funny movie- excited to finally own this!

Next up we saw Sorry To Bother You... which was out in the summer and we both wanted to see... We didn't totally know what it was about or anything- but it was only 9.99 and we thought it'd be good for that price. We sat down to watch it and we were definitely not disappointed. I'm going to need to do a full review on this movie sometime... but I need to watch it a couple of more times to fully process everything that I saw... because this is the craziest movie out there. We thought it was just going to be about a black guy that worked at a call center and used a white voice... which it was... but there was SOOOOO much to the movie. I don't really want to say much more- cause I think part of the beauty of it is not fully knowing what to expect from the movie... but it was AMAZING!

Last but not least- we found a Blu Ray boxed set of all of the Lego Movies. So they had the Lego Movie, The Lego Batman Movie and The Lego Ninjago Movie. I had seen most of The Lego Batman Movie and I've seen The Lego Movie before... but I wanted to see both of them again before seeing The Lego Movie Part 2 and we'd never seen the Ninjago movie- but it looked funny. We did end up watching the Ninjago movie...it wasn't really that good. It had its moments- and we thought it was probably better than something like Cars... but we put it on level with something like MegaMind where it's good- but you don't really need to own it or watch it that often. It wasn't as good as The Lego Movie where I could watch it every time its on. The set of the 3 blu rays was 19.99 and it came with an $8 coupon for a ticket for The Lego Movie 2... so we were really excited!

And that's it! Not a huge haul- but 5 movies is good and they were priced pretty well too! We did see some other good movies that we might buy next time we go to Best Buy because that's what we've been doing on our date nights now that it's a little cold and not many good movies are out. We just watch DVDs at my house!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
