Hump Day Update 12.6.17

What I'm Watching

I finally watched Merry Christmas Charlie Brown! Now the Holiday Season can start!

There was a Disney Christmas Special... it wasn't my favorite special- but I still kind of liked it. So I watched that.

Life In Pieces... the Thanksgiving episode was soooo sooo funny! And the episode from Thursday was good too. The Thanksgiving one was the best of the show so far though! Lol.

I really liked the Will and Grace Christmas Special they showed last night. It wasn't the best Christmas Episode of Will and Grace but it was still really funny... and my favorite moment was when Karen's son Smitty said something terrible that happened and she giggled and said "Ohhh Smitty, you always know to cheer me up" which is a callback to one of my favorite jokes from the series.

And Superstore was funny last night too... not as funny as the Halloween one- but still good.

I showed my mom the 2 episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm that my friend showed me and she thought they were really funny so I think we'll watch some more of that.

And Sesame Street! Cookie Monster has this cute fluffy monster friend that rides around in a cookie truck with him and I like that monster!

News
Time Magazine names "The Silence Breakers" as their person of the year and they included pictures of Ashley Judd and Taylor Swift on their cover because they were part of this revolution where women (and men)  are coming forward against sexual harassment. I like that- I think that's been a very important story this year and that is a good thing to have on the cover of their magazine.

Food and Drink

My neighbor went to Disney and brought me back some snacks and those were really nice! She got 3 rice krispy treats and a bag of spicy trail mix... those were delicious.

Chicken Vodka Lasagna.

Shake Shack.

I went to Michael Symon's restaurant Angeline at the Borgata... honestly- I was not really impressed. I had a fettucine with pumpkin. It wasn't bad...but it was a little bit bland. I might do a full review on this restaurant. My friend was in between getting the Eggplant Parm and the Fettucine and she usually gets the opposite of what I tell her to get and she ended up with the Chicken Parm... and I said "Yeah, you probably made a good call." Not because it was a bad dish- I still ate the full thing and I enjoyed it... but really Moonstruck is soo much better with their Pumpkin Rigatoni and Goat Cheese. My friend and I were talking about this maybe being spicy and crunchy and it was just a little bland... so yeah I'll have more on that later? But really if you want good Italian Food... take an Uber to Carmines. Probably pricier but a better value and it's just really good.

The best part of that meal was the Sea Salt Caramels that they brought out with the check... I meant to look in the gift shop to see if they had any!

Favorites

I've been having fun doing Vlogmas and Blogmas even though it's been a little stressful and yesterday I couldn't get them up until after midnight (the blogs at least)

Kesha's cd Rainbow... it's the best. I listened to it fully for the first time yesterday and I loveeee it! She can sing any genre... she's so talented! She had some folksy songs, a few country songs, a boogie song... it was just a really impressive cd and I really liked it!

I also listened to a lot of Divide by Ed Sheeran and I listened to Leslie Odom Jr's Simply Christmas Deluxe Edition again... so I like these both a lot and yeah! I've been listening to a lot of music lately!

Other Stuff
I went to my friends bachelorette party over the weekend... I feel like that's even bigger than a favorite! And I met Santa! So this has been a pretty eventful December so far!

Hope you guys like this!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
