Blogmas Day 1: Getting Into The Christmas Spirit Checklist.

I thought it would be fun to do a checklist for things to get into the holiday spirit... I feel like I like doing it in different steps. I'll tell you guys what I like to do first and... yeah!

1- Starbucks Holiday Flavors! - Check!

2- Watch Some Cartoons That Aren't Christmas Cartoons- Check!
Before the Christmas Season Starts... I like to watch some cartoons! Usually... they have them on ABC Family's Countdown to the 25 Days of Christmas... also ABC Family is called FreeForm now so that's an old title... lol.

This tradition started after coming back from Disney my Senior Year Of High School and then seeing ABC Family had a bunch of great Classic Disney Movies on before the 25 Days of Christmas Started. It was so much fun to combine my love of Christmas with my love of Disney... and Thanksgiving and The Homecoming Dance were in there too. It was fun.

This year I was watching my friend's dog and it was on... so I watched Despicable Me... Which is my favorite movie and Inside Out... which is probably one of my favorites. Probably would have liked to see Aladdin or Tangled or Frozen... but I love Inside Out. I was happy to watch that!

3- Walk Past Santa At The Mall -Check!
If I'm shopping at the mall... or even when I was working- I always really like to make sure to pass Santa and see what the malls have on display! It's just nice. They have like a full workshop at the one at my Macy's.

4- Listen To Christmas Music- Check!
You've seen where Santa is staying at the malls? Good! Now is the time to listen to some Christmas music. I don't go crazy with it... but I like listening to radio stations I know have some Christmas songs in the mix... and I listen to Christmas songs while I clean my room.

Malls and stores usually play some fun Christmas music too... every once and a while they'll have a CD. When I worked at New York and Company- they didn't play the best Christmas music... they had some good ones and some duds... but they did also play New York songs. They have some Sinatra and they had a song from Newsies called "I'm The King of New York" that was really good... if you're not that into Christmas music... maybe something like that would work too! I really like listening to showtunes and watching musicals around the holidays as well.

5- See A Tree Lighting- Check!
Now is the time to see a tree lighting! My friends and I went to Asbury Park's tree lighting... it was fun. It was crowded and they didn't let us inside... and one of my friends missed it because she was in the bathroom... but it was still fun!

If you don't want to see your local tree lighting, there are several on TV. Most Notably: Rockafellar Center... but watch your news stations! They sometimes do smaller ones.

6- Look at a Christmas Bazaar - Check!
This is the other thing we did when we saw the tree lighting. There wasn't actually that much that was Christmasy... but there was free Hot Chocolate! And there was a photo booth... so we had some fun with that!

7- Drink Hot Chocolate! Check!
Yessss! My suggestion is Starbucks Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate... yummy!

8- Visit Santa Clause- Check!
I just met Santa with my Niece yesterday! It's her first Christmas so it was her first time meeting Santa. We went to Macy's in New York to see it, we made an appointment and walked through the little North Pole display they have there... it was really fun!

9- Watch Charlie Brown Christmas! - Check!
Okay... so my first thing I like to watch to really get me in the Holiday Spirit is to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas Early on in the season because that really shows the best message of what Christmas is all about... and how to keep the Christmas Spirit even if maybe you see all the commercialism and you don't love that about Christmas. It's just a very nice movie to star the season off with and it kind of makes me appreciate other things about the holiday season more.

I also really love watching The Year Without a Santa Clause, Santa Clause is Coming To Town, holiday specials and holiday baking shows or cooking shows pretty early on in the season. Usually just because that's when they happen to be on. Rudolph I've already seen... I don't like Frosty- but that's been on by now too and sometimes I watch it... but I usually don't. Things like Elf can come after these... but these are first and foremost.

10- Buy Others Presents and Give Back
Can't check this off the list just yet... but I love buying presents for my friends and families... and I like to donate whenever I can. Many places offer toy donations, St. Jude Donations in stores... where I worked a few years ago they offered some prizes for getting St. Jude Donations... so we got a Pizza Party from Dominos... and sometimes in Retail... some cold Dominos pizza can really make a stressful day a little bit better. Lol. At my Starbucks they usually have a thing where you can pick out a gift to give to someone in need and it's very sad but sweet to see what some people for... a lot of things like towels and pillows... very sweet. Just give back and give to your family and friends.

Byeee! I Hope you guys like this blogmas and feel a little more in the holiday spirit.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...
