Blogmas Day 5: Scribbles About Food: Starbucks Christmas Tree Frap and Cranberry Bliss Bar

So I was excited to see Starbucks had a new Frap out for the holidays and I finally tried the Cranberry Bliss Bar... which I never thought I'd like but it was one of Gayle's favorite things in Oprah Magazine... and you know I love Gayle King- so I needed to give it a try!

Christmas Tree Frappuccino
This is the best of the special limited edition frap that I've tried recently... and I like the Unicorn Frap and the Zombie Frap. This tasted like a mint candy. Like the inside of a Lindor Mint Truffle... that's what this tasted like. And on top they had a Matcha Whipped Cream, Dried Cranberry, and a Strawberry! The cranberry on top of the whipped cream was DELICIOUSLY Sweet and crunchy... it was perfect. I didn't end up eating the Strawberry on Top, but it did really make the frap look like a christmas tree.

It was a really delicious combo of Mint and then when you got some of the Matcha Whipped Cream it was really nice... and then at the end I just got mostly Whipped Cream and Cranberry and it just tasted amazing! I really enjoyed this frapp... hopefully I'll be able to get it again before it runs out... but it is just an awesome frap.

Cranberry Bliss Bar
This I had been hesitant to try because I don't know how I feel about Cranberry in a dessert... but as it turns out this is a really nice, sweet dessert-y snack!

The frosting on it is really nice and creamy, the cake is very soft and sweet and again... the dried cranberries at Starbucks are just deliciously sweet for some reason... not getting as much crunch from it... mine was a little squished today... so maybe that is why... but still its a really nice, soft cakey treat and I enjoy it. I got it yesterday for the first time, today I'm having a second one. They have these in packs so that you could bring it to the office or to a holiday party or as a gift or something... you could eat these Christmas Morning with your family and that would be really nice.

It's just a great bar! I like it a lot! Starbucks has a lot of good treats around the holidays too. The Peppermint Brownie Cake Pops are also a great one to try... so yeah! Hope you guys like it and I'll see you tomorrow with another Less Christmas-y Scribbles About Food!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
