Review Time! Frozen

I love Disney, I love Princesses, I love musicals, and I love snow men so overall, I knew this movie was going to be a big win. A lot of hype was around it, a lot of my friends really liked it,  I was expecting to love it and I've got to say it did not disappoint. Whatsoever.

It starts off a little odd I get. I don't totally get everything about Elsa's powers and why she really needed to stay away from Ana as much as she could. I feel like it wasn't dramatic enough, but it got super dramatic at the end. There were several things that happened that they didn't go into great detail about, and it makes sense its a kids movie, they don't necessarily want to know all of the stuff that went on, but it's a hard thing to convey and I feel like they should have been a little more clear toward the beginning of the movie.

There were also a lot of great songs... like a LOT! It seemed at some times that there was wayyyy too many musical numbers and not nearly enough dialogue or anything of that nature... but the songs were so great I didn't mind a whole lot. They kind of stopped towards the end of the movie and there was some good dialogue and they met the snowman who was awesome!

Olaf the Snowman was just such a great character, and really all of the characters were super super great. Cristoff the nice/ice guy was super sweet and funny and you could tell he was very alone in society. His Reindeer pal was absolutely adorable and he sang a little song with him that was funny. And Elsa and Ana were very great because they were feisty and different than most princesses.

The real great part of the whole story was the beautiful relationship between Elsa and Ana. The sisterly love is really what the story was about, and it was just truly beautiful. Some people were angry this had a love interest... I kind of feel like it needed a love interest to be a little bit more interesting. I think it added a lot to make it sort of the ULTIMATE Disney Princess movie. Like if you and your friends are Disney freaks and you want to watch a movie and give each other makeovers or paint your nails or something, this is the movie to choose.

I feel like if you're on your way to Disney and you want a movie to get pumped, I would definitely pick this movie or Up because those are the most beautiful feel good disney movies that there are. Really really great.

This is fun for the whole family really, I think it'd be enjoyable for boys and girls, and parents would love it and probably sing along to all the songs as well.

That is it pretty much. Great movie should definitely check it out! I'd give it 4 and a half stars out of 5. It was a beautiful story, visually stunning and had great music. Definitely should check it out in theaters and buy or rent the dvd.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
