Woman Crush Wednesday- Elizabeth Banks

Okay... so I really want to make this post today since I'm trying to post daily... but it is 11:26 pm now so this may technically be on Thursday... I'm going to try real hard here!

Out of thinking of my first woman crush it has to be Elizabeth Banks. I just always thought that she was so pretty and she's really funny in movie and seems like the type of ballsy chick to play really goofy silly roles, but she's still a good enough actress to play in serious roles too. I think she's better suited for comedies than dramas, but she is certainly a good enough actress for either and I'm gonna say it: She could possibly win an oscar some day... or she'd be really good on television too. I'm not sure.

I first noticed her in the movie Role Models I think. I just thought she did a really good job of being funny but she was also the "girlfriend that wants her boyfriend to grow up" role. Her character mentioned that she had a pretty face in the movie and could do better than Paul Rudd, but she stayed with Paul Rudd... and I think everyone in the audience was like "yeah she could" but also like "Elizabeth Banks is such a sweetheart I doubt she'd do that in real life." Which I think is true. I think she is one of the most beautiful women but she doesn't flaunt her beauty. She's a good and successful actress and I think she'd rather have people think of her as that than for her beauty or anything.

I also think she's super awesome because she produces a lot of great movies with her husband,  which is pretty cool. She was a producer on Pitch Perfect... she also acted in Pitch Perfect and I think she was really funny and great. The role was written for Kristin Wiig, but I think Elizabeth Banks put a different spin on the role than Kristin Wiig would have, which made the character hilarious and completely Elizabeth's own.

Another great character she played was Avery Jessup on 30 Rock. She was a great counterpart to Jack Dounaghey and I thought she was one of the show's best guest stars. She just played off the whole cast really well and I really thought her and Jack were a perfect match and I really liked that storyline. I also liked the fact that when Kim Jung Un died, fans actually connected enough with that character to make Avery Jessup a TT on twitter I think, idk there was a lot of buzz when that happened. And I follow her on twitter and think that she was really shocked by the reaction and kind of thought that was awesome too. And if I were her I would think that's pretty awesome too,

Basically Elizabeth Banks is extremely beautiful, talented and smart and I want to be like her when I grow up. I've always felt she's very underrated as a "funny girl" and I've always thought she was one of the greats up there with Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Kristin Wiig... yep I'm going that far. She's legit lol.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
