Woman Crush Wednesday: Jennifer Lawrence!

I feel like Jennifer Lawrence is a lot of people's woman crush, and just crush all around. She is gorgeous and funny and talented. Seriously is there anything she can't do.

I'm not someone to get very emotional in movies. When I watch tv and something sad happens, I'll cry or when there is a sad part in a book I'll cry... but Jennifer Lawrence really gets me to cry in movies. Catching Fire just came out and holy shit I almost lost it. I mean yes I did cry a lot in the books, but I wasn't really expecting to get so emotional in the movie because I wasn't too too emotional during the first movie. I really felt for Katniss when she visited District 11 and I just thought no other actress could really do that that well. I don't think I've actually seen any movies of hers other than The Hunger Games and Catching Fire... but I should get on that. She's probably way better in the movies she was nominated for an Oscar in is probably a better performance than The Hunger Games... but still she's fantastic.

And also she's sooo relatable, especially for girls like me. She's only 1 year older than me, she's awkward, clumsy, and loves food and drinking more than most things in life. She's like me if I were really talented, successful and beautiful.

And when she fell onstage at the Oscars I was like "ohh my gosh that will totally happen to me someday" cause obviously I'm going to win lots of awards. Well I mean I want to win Emmys... but that's beside the point. And then Bradley Cooper and Hugh Jackman rushed to help her. Such gentleman! Seriously imagine the most beautiful men in Hollywood helping you get up the next time that you fall down. You will feel a lot better about yourself I'm sure!

Speaking of Oscars... She's been nominated for 3 already! She's only 23 years old! And I think she's going to win again this year! That's just cool. I can't wait to see a) if she wins and b) what she's going to wear! I was seriously OBSESSED with her dress last year. And that she draped her necklace down her back, it was just so beautiful. I was really REALLY hoping that would become a trend but there aren't too many situations where you can pull that off in real life I guess.

So yes that is my girl crush on the one and only Jennifer Lawrence. I'm going to end this here because AMERICAN HORROR STORY FINALE STARTS IN A FEW MINUTES! HELL YEAH! Look for a review of that tomorrow :)

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
