It List: January 2014

1) How Did This Get Made Podcast- I've been obsessed with this podcast. It's just Paul Scheer, June Diane Rapheal and Jason Matzoukas discussing horrible movies. I love all of those people... I love bad movies so this is kind of a HUGE win for me. I love it. I've been listening to it like all day the past few days. I'm listening to it right now and it's incredible. They also have great guest stars like Rhetta, Nick Krull, Adam Scott, Dan friggin Harmon... just amazing. Check it out. I listen to it on Stitcher which is an app to listen to podcasts on and it's pretty cool. I dig it.

2) Aerie Hoodies- These are the softest friggin hoodies in the entire world. I got one last tuesday... and I bought another on wednesday and then again on thursday. They are so soft and warm, and they're on sale for $15 right now! Ahhh-mazing!

3) Sun Golden Magnolia from BBW- I mentioned this lotion in my ginormous bath and body works haul. I got another one since then for free. I really like this smell a lot. It's floraly and warm. These aren't out yet I don't think other than the travel sized lotions... but I'm probably going to buy some more stuff with this scent when they have it! It's just amazing.

4) Community- How good has season 5 been so far? Right? Dan Harmon is back and it is quite amazing. It has been super funny and amazing and I just feel like my life is complete again now that it's back and it's really good again. I'm going to be sooo bummed when I have to go to class on Thursdays again... but seriously if you don't have Thursday night classes watch it. It's amazing! (and if you do have class watch it on hulu or nbc.com... seriously its amazing!)

5) Saving Mr. Banks- I thought this was a fantastic movie. I have a review on it, but I really think it was moving and I just think it was totally underrated for the oscars. Colin Farrell should have been nominated, Emma Thompson should have been nominated, Tom Hanks was fantastic (I feel like if he was nominated for anything it'd be captain phillips) and Jason Schwartzman and B.J Novak also
fantastic... I just really really liked it. It made me laugh and cry and I just felt all of the feels. It's great, sad but great, just see it.

6) Burger Shop 2- I've been playing this game so much that I've been getting dreams about it. I haven't played this in a while, but I just started to again and that was a mistake because it's literally all I've been doing. Ughh! So fun. It's a good game to play when you are stuck inside due to snowy weather or a cold or something.

7) Caramel Flan Lattes from Starbucks- Holy crap these are fantastic! I think it's my new favorite drink, I hope they don't just make it like a seasonal thingy, because I would drink this all year. A lot of people on Starbucks facebook page said they didn't like it. I really like it. The caramel is a little different than in the caramel macchiatos and it's just really good. They have a frap too... but its freezing cold so I thought I'd pass on that. Lol.

8) Cherry M&Ms- I repeat: Cherry M&Ms. Nothing else to say here. These are just super duper yummy.

9) Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups- I just tried these and they are quite spectacular. Usually I buy these type of candies from the convenience store type places- especially by my school. My go-to candy is usually twix... but I have a feeling these are getting to be a thing.

10) Lorde- just got her cd... She is amazing. I think my favorite songs by her are tennis court and Glory and gore. Check out the cd. I don't get tired of hearing Lorde on the radio cause I think she has such a different sound and very unique songs. Very talented for a 16 year old.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
