2014 Goals

Sooo since we are about halfway through the first month of the year... I thought I would share a few of my goals for the year.

Now since I'm graduating in May, 2014 will be my first actual year as an adult... so I'd like to be slightly more of an adult this year. That being said, I'm also just 22... so I still want to enjoy my youth and have fun. I want to be responsible and act older than my age... but I still want to remind myself that I am only 22 and it's okay to do things that 22 year olds would do. Not doing anything stupid... just trying to live life. Idk where I'm going with this. Let me just list some specifics.

1) Post on this blog daily- I may not write daily... but that's okay. The more writing I do the better I feel. I feel way more relaxed and just all around pretty good about myself when I post something. It doesn't matter if it gets 1 view or hundreds of views... I just want to post something that I'm proud of and that I can look back on fondly.

2) Write a book of short stories- This is a fairly recent discovery. I like writing rather odd things and I thought I'd create my own bizarre fictional universe and write different stories about different characters in the world. It's a work in progress because I really want this world to be something great.

3) Start writing a Television Pilot- I realize I'm not going to become the next Tina Fey overnight... there are probably several steps I have to take before becoming half as famous as her... but this is a good step. I already have ideas for tv shows that I think would work and I want to get them out there as soon as I can.

4) Step Out of My Comfort Zone- I've been doing this recently with more fashion-y type things. There are some things that I've always thought were cute but I didn't think I could pull it off... and this year I'm going to try. I've already done that and I've gotten quite a few things that I wouldn't normally wear or anything like that... but I've worn them and they are quite cute... so yeah.

5) Go to the gym- good god I'm really going to try this year. Maybe not going to the gym but doing something to actively work out. I could use it... and I just need to give it a shot.

6) Wake up at a normal time- This is one I seriously need to try. I'm horrible at waking up before noon, so if I could wake up somewhat early every morning... that would be cool. I think that's when I'm going to go to the gym and stuff like that.

7) Try different types of Pasta- Last year I tried Penne Vodka and fell in love. This may be a bad goal, but I really need to try more foods in general. Pasta seems like a good start!

8) Make Every Day Memorable- Half of the days of your life are something you won't remember. I think doing small, but exciting things every day can be super helpful. Not everyday is going to be exciting, but you know how they say "you learn something new every day" I want to do that.

9) Write a memory down every day- This is something I wanted to do last year, but I failed at it. I'm writing down something interesting from every day on a piece of paper and putting them in a little gift box thingy that my friend gave me that I thought was cute. At the end of the year I can go back and be like "ohhh yeah. That happened."

10) Be Nicer to People- I posted a whole "how to be nice to people" blog on Tuesday, so I won't go into a lot of detail. I just think that if you are nice and positive to people, they will be nice and positive back... so being nice is the best way to be.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
