Weekly Wrap Up 6.5.16

Welcome to the first Weekly Wrap up of June 2016! Hope you had a great May and a great first few days of June!

Pinterest- I was going to delete the Pinterest app from my phone... but then I saw a few things and I was like "ohh..." Then an hour and a half later I was pinning everything. Workouts, Organization, Writing... It was pretty fun! Pretty helpful too! Hopefully it'll help me with my instagram and blogs and I can start writing a little more too while I'm at it... seems like a good idea.

Nifty- Along with Pinterest, I've been digging Buzzfeed's Nifty page... idk why I'm probably never going to do any of the DIY projects... but I love watching them and they have some good, easy ideas. Its fun to watch!

Me Before You- Gonna be honest... I'm 16 pages into this book... maybe... maybe less than that lol. Haven't had much time to read it this week, but its really well written. I've been liking it a lot. So this is an honorable mention that I think is worth mentioning. So I'm excited to read this.

Comedy Bang Bang- I haven't listened to this show in forever... so I'm catching up now and its just really good and funny. I've talked about this many times before, so I don't feel the need to mention it too much... but its a good show if you haven't listened to it yet, you should start! Its great!

Snippets from the week
-Sunday I discovered Pinterest and made a bullet journal. Lol.
- Monday I went out with my friend Cristina and we went to the beach and ate lunch and went shopping.
-I went to lunch with my mom one day this week. And that was nice.
- I went to the mall and didn't buy anything one day... so that was fun.
-Friday I celebrated National Donut Day.
-I went to target and started organizing my room and cleaning it more. That was good.
-I went to a nice restaurant and had Potato chip encrusted salmon with a dill sour cream dressing... aka I had chips and dips for dinner... but in a grown up way!

TV Highlights
Idk if I watched much TV this week. I watched some of Marty and Maya... and I liked that. Weird that they aren't in many sketches together though. Right?

Noteworthy Snacks
-Donuts from Broad Street Dough Co... these are the best!
-Penne Vodka... yum.
-Tacos from Finns... yum again. Very local types of foods.
-Ate a Scone Pony scone today... lol.

Fridays Cake pop things... those were good.

News and World Events
-Muhammad Ali died this Friday. I didn't know much about him or about sports... but he was really smart and funny from what they've shown of him. Idk if he has a bio... but I think that'd be cool to read. Very sad. He will be missed.
- A lot of celebrity break ups this week... Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris, Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderama... I feel like maybe there's a theme here. Its all sorta young pop stars. I'm guessing Gigi is with Wilmer, Zayn is with Taylor and Demi's with Calvin... that'd be kinda funny.
- Reports of Richard Simmons being hospitalized for Bizzare Behavior... doesn't surprise me. If you've seen the Skalar Brother's comedy special... that doesn't surprise me!
- Ben Stein endorses Donald Trump for president, despite his ignorance about the economy... just what everyone is looking for, the Ben Stein Bump!
- Apparently a former friend of OJ Simpson believes he will confess to the things he was accused of. Don't need to go into detail on that.

Thoughts
Planning and organizing is hard... but it can be fun... just don't expect too much. Lol. Bad advice? Idk I'm out of thoughts.

Byeee!
-Shannon

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
