Bridesmaid Diaries: The Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner

So this was a really fun night! I really enjoyed both the rehearsal and the dinner, we had a great time.

The rehearsal itself only took a few minutes. We were at the restaurant for the dinner very early. They told us how to walk and what we were supposed to do, and it was nice and easy. The venue had a Maitre D that was basically the wedding planner and she told us what to do. The one thing that kind of didn't really work out was what they said to do with the flowers and fluffing the dress. Fluffing dresses is not easy to do in heels, and they told me to hand my flowers to the other bridesmaid, hold the brides flowers and then return them to the bride and then get my bouquet back. The bride and groom held hands during the ceremony... so I was holding the brides bouquet. So yeah... that was the only slightly different thing.

So that was all easy and for the dinner we went to a pizza place that we go to every week more or less... so they know us and we're regulars. And the food was good... everything was good.

The bride and groom gave their presents to the bridal party, parents and family that night too, so that was fun. My sister got us things to use that day, and things we could use again and again after that... so that was good. My sister really did the best job picking everything out. She's very thoughtful and I really loved everything.

We had the rehearsal a few days before the wedding. Her wedding was on a Sunday and the rehearsal was on a Thursday, so that was nice. We had a couple days to kind of relax before the wedding and we all really liked that. I'll do a blog on the last couple days before the wedding too because that's a fun read I think. Lol.

And we only invited people in the wedding and their family. So the flower girl and the other bridesmaid (her mom) and their family were there. The grooms family was there. The best man and his wife and my family. I think there are people that have more people at their rehearsal dinner... but it was a big group that was a lot of fun to be around. We just had a small restaurant, so that worked best for us. It doesn't really matter how few or how many people you invite, but it was very nice.

And thats it! Hope you all liked it!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
