Throwback Thursday: Friends Season 2

Just finished Season 2 of Friends and I have to say... I liked it better than I thought I would.

I always underestimate season 2 because a few years ago I kept seeing the string of episodes from Season 2 where Joey moved out of the apartment over and over and over again... and they just aren't my favorite episodes. Eddie is a little too weird... Joey's Apartment is a little too ugly... and I think it was just too short a time for that dynamic. In this re-watch of friends I have kind of noticed timelines a little bit more... and I think that's something I'm going to pay attention to for the future... I'm sure there will be some blog posts on that coming soon.

Also aside from Eddie's craziness... we have Phoebe... who is extra weird in the earlier seasons of the show. She's very Phoebe this season... this season we get a lot of Smelly Cat, plus we get to hear some of her other songs... and it's just kind of a little too over the top... but it kind of shows character development... which the show was actually pretty great at! It just makes it hard to see the characters all this young because you know better stuff is coming... it just takes a while.

This is also the season where Ross and Rachel are together... which is always fun to watch. The whole show is about Ross and Rachel really... but they're only together for a few episodes... so it's nice to kind of see them at their happiest together before Ross ruins everything  it all falls apart.

We also see Monica with Richard... and it's kind of a dramatic change for Monica. This is our first time seeing her as a grown up really... and she's sort of the first one of the Friends to be a grown up... and it's sweet. Plus they show a lot of intimate moments between her and Richard... which we don't get a ton of in the series between significant others and it's just nice to see. Plus Monica loses her job- which brings her to her lowest point... but Richard brings her to her highest point where she's the happiest we've seen her... even though deep down she knows it's not going to last.

And we do see a lot of characters at their best and worst places. Chandler- when he thinks he'll become Mr. Heckles when he's older, Ross and Rachel after the whole List Fiasco, Joey getting fired, Phoebe with her dad, Monica with her Job... and we see a lot of highs Chandler reconnecting with Janice, Joey proud of his acting, Monica happy with Richard, Phoebe finding her brother, Rachel and Ross together... It's kind of amazing that way.

Ohhh favorite episodes...The One With The Baby On The Bus, The One With Phoebe's Dad, The One With The Prom Video, The One Where Ross and Rachel...you know, The One After The Superbowl, The One With The Bullies... I think that's everything. I really liked when Monica met Richard and when she told her parents about him... I liked when Rachel and Monica fought over the last condom... there were a lot of great moments from episodes that weren't favorites of mine... and that's kind of cool too. I guess The One With The Prom Video is probably the best... but the one where Ross and Rachel do it is good too... lol.

So while Season 2 may be just a bit over the top... it really does kind of have a theme... and that's kind of cool. I'm going to try to pick up that on other seasons... again I'm going to do some timelines of the different events just because for some insane reason you don't watch Friends every day... but yeah. That's it!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
