Scribbles About Food: Pop's Garage

So this is a long overdue post! I went to Pops garage a couple of times... once I had Quesadillas and they were delicious... this time I got a Chimichanga and it was Cinco de Mayo (actually Cinco de Quatro, but you know I'm secretly Lucielle Bluth so it's all the same. Lol.) so of corse I got a Margarita! Let's get right into it!

I'm going to start off with the Chips and Guac. I don't have a picture of these... but it was really good. It wasn't too spicy, it was flavorful and fresh and it just tasted really yummy. They didn't give a ton and there weren't too many chips with it either... but it was still enough to share. I was in a group with 5 girls and we were all getting big dinners too... so we were hungry, but we needed room for dinner and our desserts... so yeah. It was plenty lol. The chips were good too... they were thick and not too salty.

Next up: My Margarita!!! I got the Island Margarita because it sounded coconutty and that's what I wanted in my life that night! And it was coconutty and it was blue and sweet and just delicious! I got it with salt because I can't tell if I like Margarita Salt or not tbh... lol. I feel like it's weird to taste salt when you're drinking and get a lot of salt... but it's a little too sweet without the salt- so I guess I like it... idk. I just like drinking and this was delicious!
It was even more delicious than it looks.

And the Chimichanga... this was amazing! It's basically a fried burrito. I got the Chicken one- it comes with Olives but I got it without and it came without! When a place is super busy if it has olives I might avoid ordering it just because I feel like they'll still put olives on it... and I hate olives... but it wasn't busy and there were no olives!!!! It was delicious and flavorful and cheesy and really really delicious. I never knew Chimichangas were fried burritos... it's really yummy!
Hey now, hey now... this is what dreams are made of.

And that's just all I had. I had dessert at an Ice cream place nearby... their dessert menu was a little lacking. They have Churros and Choco Tacos... which I like but they were kind of expensive and it didn't seem like it was really worth it... wasn't anything different. So we went for ice cream instead! Anyway... that's it. I don't remember the Ice Cream too well... so I'll review that place another day... but let me know if you've tried this place. I give it a thumbs up, I'd go back... its amazing!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
