Bullet Journal for Beginners: Favorite Spreads / Useful Tips

I just started Bullet Journaling… this is something I kind of love to do lately and here are just kind of my favorite things to do with this… There is no right or wrong way to do this… but this is what’s been working for me.

Habit Tracker
This is just one of my favorite things that I’ve been doing… keeping track of what I should be doing. I never really thought this was something I would do because a lot of people have things like “Don’t drink alcohol” and just things… that aren’t necessarily unimportant but it isn’t relevant to me… but then I was like Ohhh I could keep track of doing a lot of blogs, I could write down when I do things like read and meet my step goal and those sorts of things. I just kind of make like a graph type thing and color in every day and I put a little X when I don’t do that thing… and it is weirdly satisfying. I have mine for June already and I made other things… it’s just kind of cool. I was happy with the way it turned out.

Mood Log
A lot of people have mood trackers… I thought maybe writing down how I felt on a particular day would be a little bit more effective for me. It’s easy to do and it’s just a good recap of the day… and a good way to write a little bit for every day. Mood trackers are super pretty… but that is nothing that will make sense to me… this makes more sense to me and it’s just nice! It’s another favorite thing of mine.

Monthly Layout
I just like having a calendar in here… I can look at it. I write down the days I’m babysitting my niece because sometimes the schedule is different. I mark down important things that happen.

Gluing Stuff to the BUJO
I love gluing stuff in it… just like if I screw up or something- if I have something like an index card- I can just glue it down. My favorite layout I’ve done so far has 4 post it type notes pasted on there and I write my daily activities on that.

Color-in-bullets
This is a good way to  decorate and keep track of when you get stuff done. I just used hearts as bullets and flowers for my blogs… and then I color in the hearts when I’m done. For my blogs I do flowers because I’d like to write 3-5 blogs a day… this month I’m aiming for 5… so I color in the petals to see how many I got done.

Monthly Favorites Pages
I decided to dedicate a page for my monthly favorites for my beauty blog and an It List for my personal blog so that I could keep track of my favorites right on the spot… it’s really easy and it’s fun. And I think I’ll like looking on that again when I’m done!

Blogs Posted pages
I have pages dedicated to writing down the blogs I posted that day. So like when this is posted- lets say I post it May 22nd, I’ll write down “Bullet Journal tips and tricks” on the number 22. It’s easy and that way I can keep track without having to check the computer… usually at the end of the month I’ll write down all the blogs  and then post a recap of what I felt… I know that’s kind of extra… but I want to make sure I’m writing things I like and keeping track of what I’m proud of, or what didn’t really work!

Pixar’s Rules for Storytelling- I actually have 3 pages dedicated to the formula for how Pixar writes their stories… it’s just really nice to have them on the page… and I had a lot of fun with this spread. If I’m writing something I’ll come back to it because I love pixar so much.

And that’s it! This is my first bullet journal… and I love it! I’ll try to post another thing about supplies or pens I use… but I want to wait on that until I’m more of an expert… I like that mine looks a little messy just cause it’s  really kind of literal scribbles than… so that’s good!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
