Ranking Every Adam Sandler Movie

So I just did my Throwback Thursday Review of Pixels... and I saw an Article Ranking every Adam Sandler Movie... so I thought why not rank the one's I've seen. I haven't seen them all... some I saw as a kid... but I still have pretty strong feelings about the best and the worst ones... so yeah. I will rank what I know... based on what I know about them... so here we go! I'm not including Hotel Transylvania or movies that he was not the main star of... just the starring movies.

Billy Madison
Happy Gilmore
Big Daddy
Mr. Deeds
Anger Management
50 First Dates
Spanglish
Click
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
You Don't Mess With the Zohan
Bedtime Stories
Funny People
Pixels

13) Click- I've gone back and forth when I was writing this list... I didn't see this in theaters, just on TV... but I watched it enough to know that this is no one's favorite Sandler movie. It's definitely forgettable... It is both funny and sad- and I think Sandler does a really great job with that... but that isn't the type of movie I love seeing him in... so for that reason this is at the bottom of my list. And I really almost forgot this even existed.

12) You Don't Mess With The Zohan- I actually saw this in theaters for a friends birthday party... and it was a lot of fun... and I have seen the movie since then... but it's just a hard one to watch. It's weird, there are lots of awkward sex jokes and it's just kind of gross. So... not my favorite.

11) 50 First Dates- I feel bad putting this so low on the list... but this is the only one I saw in theaters that when I walked out of I was like "hmmm... didn't like that very much." I know this is better than a lot of the movies on this list... it just isn't something I loved... I laughed a few times. I liked the end and I love Drew Barrymore. There's just something I don't love about the movie. Maybe I'll give this another chance.

10) I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry- For some reason I liked this movie enough to actually ask for the DVD... and I have no idea why. This was also on tv ALL THE TIME one summer when I was in high school. Idk why... but I kind of like this one. I think I'm secretly almost a fan of Kevin James... and this movie is just a nice friendship movie... the first time you see it. By the 7th or 8th time... it's just not believable that sooo many women just want to sleep with Adam Sandler... and that seems to be my problem with a lot of these movies.

9) Funny People- This is another movie I feel bad for putting this low on the list... I know it can't be all that bad... I only saw it once... and I sort of half-watched it because I lost interest. Adam Sandler is good at funny and sad movies... this just wasn't the movie I wanted it to be. I do love Leslie Mann though... huge woman crush on her... so I would recommend watching this movie just because I think she is so great in everything.

8) Bedtime Stories- This is another sort of unmemorable one... I barely remember what happened in it... but I do remember seeing it and thinking "Ohhh this is pretty good." It had some Disney Magic in it... it wasn't bad. Probably underrated.

7) Mr. Deeds- This wasn't a bad movie... I owned it on tape... I watched it a few years ago and the main story of the film... I really liked. But I didn't really like any of the other characters enough to highly recommend it.

6) Spanglish- This was a good serious movie for Sandler. Definitely the favorite of what I've seen. Idk- I feel like there's something about it I don't like... I didn't love his character even though he was the good guy of the movie... idk. It's an underrated movie- but I think Paz Vega was the best part of the movie.

5) Billy Madison- I can't believe this is so high on the list! This was going to be a lot lower on the list... but then I was like "ehhh Billy Madison was better than Mr. Deeds." The Shampoo and Conditioner line was the best part. I saw this as a kid... so that kind of determined my liking of it.

4) Pixels- I'm pretty sure this is the only positive top 5 list Pixels will ever be on... lol. Maybe it's just because I just saw this movie... but it was pretty fun. Sandler wasn't my favorite part of it... but I think I liked it anyway.

3) Happy Gilmore- This was also wayyy lower on the list and then I was like "no... that's a pretty funny movie." I don't think I've ever really had the desire to watch this since whenever the only time I've watched it as a "grown up" was... and by grown up I might have been 13... I don't remember but I know I saw it as a kid and then as a  grown up... and it was okay.

2) Big Daddy- Big Daddy is actually a great movie. I think I only sat down and watched the whole thing once... but I liked it a lot. This is what I think of when I think of an Adam Sandler movie.

1) Anger Management- I LOVE this movie! Honestly... this would probably make my top 100 movies list... idk if it'd be in top 25 or top 50 even... but its one that I've watched again and again and I always laugh and I just really like it! The end is really cute too. I love Sandler and Nicholson together... I just love it!

There's my list! I don't love Adam Sandler movies... but the top 2 are definitely ones I see myself watching again and again. Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
