Chart Chat 6.19.17

Lotta new movies on this list this week... not exactly where I thought they would be either... but there's a lot of good stuff out there right now... so let's see what's going on!

10) It Comes at Night- This movie looked bad... I think this will be the last week at the charts... it's probably not bad... but I couldn't get what it was about from the trailer and it was a horror movie that looked scary enough but... meh.

9) Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 2 - Ugh I hope this is staying on the charts next week because maybe I'll actually get to see it. I love Guardians and I know by the time I review it it won't really be relevant... but it's a good series... so I bet it'll be good and people will love it. Hopefully it's just as funny as the first!

8) Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie- This looks really funny... I can kind of see why it isn't all that high in the charts! The other day at the mall a little girl saw the movie poster and got all excited and told her mom "Look Captain Underpants! It's for girls and boys!" And the mom just looked like she really didn't want to take her to see it at all. It's probably the same  reason I didn't really think Boss Baby looked all that great... but I think this looks more unique. The animation reminds me of the Charlie Brown Movie... which I really liked. So I would definitely check this out when it's on tv. It has a character named Professor Poopypants... how could you not want to see that!

7) Rough Night- I'm surprised this is so low on the charts... it's got a ton of stars in it... and it just looked like something a lot of people would really like. I think it looks funny... maybe not the best movie ever...but certainly funny.

6) Pirates of The Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales- Surprised to see this low on the charts... but it is also kind of high on the charts... considering that it is in front of at least one new movie this week. so... mehh? Lol. I have some Nostalgia for the Pirates movies... but sometimes I feel like the franchise has peaked and now it's just not the same as the Pirates I knew and loved. I'd like to see just a solo Jack Sparrow movie... I feel like they have enough to do an origin story or something... I know this does have a lot of flashbacks for Jack Sparrow in it... but I think it'd be cool to just see something like Logan buy Sparrow or something like that... only not Logan. Lol.

5) 47 Meters Down- I want to see this. It looks really scary and Mandy Moore is in it... I love most things with Mandy Moore in it... she's one of those actresses I feel like I'll always watch and she's worth paying the price of the ticket for. Like Cameron Diaz I've seen in a lot of movies and I think she usually makes the movie... one of those things! I think I'd like this!

4) The Mummy- Tom Cruise's not so well reviewed start to Universal's Dark Universe is behind 2 new movies... and the number 1 movie of the last couple weeks... but it did get ahead of 2 new movies... so it's not doing bad. This is said to do great worldwide... so that's probably going to be the trend of the Dark Universe movies... but yeah. I liked the Brendon Frasier movies... I'm mostly excited that they have a collection of those movies on Blu Ray at Target... but yeah!

3) All Eyez On Me- This sounds like a really interesting story... but the movie itself doesn't look all that great. Jada Pinkett Smith was good friends with Tupac before she married Will Smith... and she said that she thought that her memories of Tupac were too precious for this movie's depiction of the 2. The movie is about Tupac, btw lol. Sandy Kenyon said you might like it if you liked Straight Outta Compton and he kind of liked it... but thought that there was too much about Tupac's life to be captured in just one movie.

2) Wonder Woman- This is the first week not at #1... what I think is the surprise hit of the summer... I don't think it was a surprise to anyone else... but Wonder Woman! Still holding strong at #2! I have to say I want to see it more and more now... still don't think I'll see it in theaters... but it does look good enough to watch on TV. I'm a little skeptical still because I feel like they aren't going to do Justice to Wonderwoman... idk. It's the fist Female Superhero movie... it is something to watch out for!

1) Cars 3- Cars 3! I love Pixar movies... Cars and Cars 2 are not my favorite Pixar movies... I haven't even seen all of Cars 2... but I am watching Cars now... and it's not bad. I forgot a lot about it... so I'm glad to be watching it again...haven't heard much about Cars 3... I doubt it will be as good as Cars... but it still looks good! If you saw my "Pixar movies ranked by teasers" this was number 2 on the list... so I'm curious to see how it stacks up!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
