Throwback Thursday: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 2

Season 2... I had kind of underestimated. I know I probably gave it a positive review when I first reviewed it last year... but I didn't ever watch it a second time... until just now... and idk. I wasn't super happy with how Titus's story ended at the time... so I think I just thought I didn't love Season 2... but it was a really really good and funny season.

In Season 2... we see a lot of the more serious themes of Kimmy's life. Her abandonment issues from her mom and not just her fear of things from The Bunker. Kimmy finally sees a therapist... and even her therapist has issues... nothing seems to be going right for Kimmy and in the end she finds her mom... and things still aren't all that great. So Kimmy realizes her issues will kind of never be solved... but she still kind of accepts things and there's some catharsis in the end for Kimmy and her mom... without there being a real resolution.

And... I love Lisa Kudrow as Kimmy's mom. I thought she was just perfect and so funny... she seems to be on a lot of Netflix shows- she was on Season 2 of Bojack Horseman... I think she's just as funny now as she was when she was on friends... and that's saying a lot because Phoebe is probably my favorite part of Friends. Lol.

And Tina Fey on this season as the Therapist... she was just really great. She is so funny... this show was no exception to that at all... she was great at playing both the boring therapist that runs marathons and the train wreck alcoholic that can't get her life together... I was hoping we would see a little bit more of her in Season 3... but I was happy with her episode there and where Andrea ended up.

I loved the cliffhanger end of this season as well... because it's like just when you think we've got all the Bunker stuff behind us... the Reverend calls asking for a divorce... and that leads to some more issues in season 3...

I think one of my favorite episodes was when Kimmy goes on the tv show... that sounds like it would be horrifying and I always love seeing the difference between Kimmy and the other women in the bunker... that was a great episode highlighting that.

And I liked the story with Titus and Mikey... I appreciated it more after watching Season 3... I don't know if I loved it at the time... but now after seeing season 3... it's so sweet. They're so cute... and I just really liked it.

Lots of love in this season. Kimmy and Dong, Titus and Mikey, Jacqueline and Russ, Lilian and Robert Durst... it's just really got a lot as far as those stories go... and I think it works really well. It was really good.

Ao that's everything! Hope you guys like it or find it useful. Let me know what you think of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's different seasons and if you liked the third season... and yeah!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
