Weekly Wrap Up 1/23/17

Hamilton- I saw Hamilton yesterday... it was even better than I thought it would be... and I really thought it would be good... I'll have a full review on that... I'm sure you already kind of know my feelings about that. I listened to the Soundtrack a lot this week too... so that was especially good.

Teak- On Monday I ate at a restaurant called Teak in Red Bank. I'll do a Scribbles About Food on that, but that was delicious! It reheated sooo well too. I was really impressed! Very yummy!

A Series of Unfortunate Events- I watched this again this week... I need something else to watch because I'm about to watch it again... and I already did my review. Lol. I really need to get some of the books now because I'm just so into this series right now.

News and World Events

The Womens March was awesome and there were a lot of funny signs that actually said something meaningful. No matter what your thoughts on the current president, I think it's pretty apparent women are feeling that their voices aren't being heard by the government... and that's why this march was important and meaningful. And when women are marching all over the country, literally so that the government and men will hear what we have to say and Piers Morgan says "I'm going to start a Men's March because these feminists are emasculating us" or something along those lines... I'll link it in the clickables... he needs to be taken down. And Patton Oswalt and many other people did that PERFECTLY on twitter. It'll be in the clickables.

TV Highlights
A Series of Unfortunate Events!

The Good Place was pretty great this week... maybe I'll post on that...

And that is everything I think?

Noteworthy Snacks
Teak in Red Bank... I think that's it.

Music
Hamilton!!!!! Obviously. Lol.

Quotes
"Look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now"- Eliza Hamilton (from the musical... not sure if IRL. I think Lin Manuel Miranda said that's what he says a lot.)

Thoughts
Sometimes things are better than you thought they'd be, no matter how good you think they are. Appreciate that.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
