Weekly Wrap Up: 1/8/16

Ugh... I forgot about this this week! Sorry guys! Didn't think I'd have any favorites... but I think there are 5 things worth mentioning... so yeah.

Favorites
Baby Shower- So I was helping with my sister's baby shower this week... so it might not be a total favorite but it is what was on my mind pretty much all week and I just thought it was worth mentioning as a favorite.

Comedy Bang Bang- So happy I started listening to my podcasts again! Comedy Bang Bang and How Did This Get Made to be exact... but How Did This Get Made was just a mini episode so CBB was my favorite... and I loved it! It's so funny. I just like listening to it a lot!

Life In Pieces- This has been a favorite for a while that I never mention. Honestly, I have a horrible review on here of the first episode... and I stand by that review. It wasn't very original. The cast was good and it had funny moments... but it was no wheres near as clever and well-developed as it is now... and I really like that. It has improved a lot.

Oh Yeah Em- So a few months ago when I was on my Disney kick I mentioned a youtube channel called Oh Yeah Disney. It was an engaged couple, they have since gotten married and Emily now has a blog called Oh Yeah Em... and I love it! I just really like her style, I think she has a lot of fun posts and I like traveling and would love for this to be a travel blog... but I never travel anymore... so that won't happen. Lol. But anyway, I love her... and I think her blog is amazing! I will link it in the Clickables. Her pictures are awesome too, I think she takes some and her husband Scott is also a very talented photographer. I just really like her posts and will probably continue reading them as much as I can. Oh yeah Em is such a great and easy to remember name too! I love it!

Life Scribbles
I didn't do too much this week... wasn't feeling great after New Year's Eve... and then it kinda snowed and stuff... so other than the Baby Shower... didn't do too much!

TV Highlights
Life in Pieces... I watched Mickey's House of Mouse Christmas and Return of the Jedi and a little bit of The Force awakens.

Noteworthy Snacks
The Oreo Candy Bar was pretty dang amazing.

Soooo much good food at the shower! Honey Cakes, "Haycorns" made out of Nilla Wafers and chocolate... so many good things!

News and World Events

Mariah Carey made headlines this New Year's Eve when she.... performed(?) at the New Year's Rockin' Eve Special... The music was synced up right and she just sort of stayed there pouting, she still danced and reached out to the crowd... but she was not havin' it at all! I heard there was no sound check before and that is why things went awry... Mariah Carey is a smart woman. I don't think she was just having a drunken meltdown. I think she was legitimately mad that it all went wrong. I would be pissed too if I were her! She doesn't do many live performances... She has a very strong voice... and... well it just sounds better if she lip syncs probably. I don't want to totally blame the New Year's Rockin Eve show... I'm thinking everything was kind of unplanned and it seemed people enjoyed themselves anyway... and Mariah looked totally totally gorgeous... although she looked kind of naked except for the glitters. Like I said, she's a smart woman... I don't totally think this was her fault.

One of the weirder more interesting stories of the week was that a woman is suing to have her name removed from google because her ex posted "revenge porn" with her in it... I don't know whether it was a sex tape or pictures... It's not going to happen. If it did, her name would never be allowed to be on google again. So if her name was something like Mary... all references to anyone named Mary would have to be removed. The reports said that it is a unique 4 letter name... so it probably isn't Mary, her identity was not revealed... odd choice to go straight to google. Maybe there need to be stricter laws about sex tapes and sexy pictures... maybe there don't and people just have to use common sense and decency about it. Weird world. I have no advice on this and no real thoughts... Be careful with your personal business?

That Trump guy did stuff maybe? I had a dream that that super young, really pretty republican girl Tommi whatever... I haven't heard her talk but my friends with similar political views don't like her very much... so I've avoided her for that reason... lol. Anyway I had a dream that there was a democrat version of her too and that they were going to battle... and it wasn't really specific what the battle was going to be... but it wasn't a debate. I think it was probably a rap battle... but yeah.

Music
I listened to Watsky's newest album because I've had his song from the Hamilton Soundtrack stuck in my head forever and I really liked it. It took me a while to realize what Going Down was about... I just heard him say "Kimmy Schmidt" and I was like "That's My JAM!" And then I listened to the rest of that and I think there will be a whole different blog about that... but that'll come later... so stay tuned? Lol.

Thoughts
Sometimes you forget to do things until 25 minutes after the last minute... like this blog right now... not even the 8th anymore for me... but yeah I really think this blog turned out pretty well. Hope you guys like it!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
