Bridesmaids Diaries: Things To Do When Your Friends Just Get Engaged

So these aren't any super amazing tips or anything... but it might be something helpful and nice! You know this is going to be a great blog when I'm like "So these tips aren't super amazing" lol. There isn't a lot out there for when people just get engaged... and a lot of people don't have engagement parties or anything anymore... not sure if my friend is having one or not, she just happened to throw a party a day or 2 after she got engaged... so I wanted to do a few things.

First I was going to do this anyway... but I got her some fancy chocolates. These are a good gift for hosting parties, and I thought it would be something fun and a little different. Champagne is sort of the traditional gift... I thought somebody probably got them champagne already... so they might want some chocolates.

I also got an engagement cards... there were not many of these at the Hallmark store... so these might kind of be hard to find. There might be a blank inside type of card or stationary you could use... I got everyone at the party to sign the card because I thought that would be nice. Especially since there were so few engagement cards, it made sense to just have one for everyone. It was cute. It made them smile... so yeah.

And if you can offer any suggestions. If you've gotten married or if you were in a wedding and you can recommend a few things, that would probably be a great help. We were talking about venues and I knew of a restaurant that I thought they probably knew about too and I just said "ohh this place also has a wedding venue and it looked like people were having fun there. So yeah. Any little tips that you can tell them are helpful.

So yeah... that's pretty much it! Hope you guys liked this!

Byeee!

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Scribbles about Books: Horns by Joe Hill

I picked this book up not too long ago because after seeing the trailer for the movie and seeing it was based on a book I thought "Hey, that looks good. I should read the book." Then my friend gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday and I thought "Hey I wanted to read Horns, I should grab that." And I did, and I had to read it around halloween of corse! So this is my kind of horror story first of all. I love that the universe it takes place in is very realistic and very small-town. If you've noticed in some of my other book reviews... I like mysteries that take place in small towns. And its very believable because the world and the characters are all so real. I think its a good book just for that. The book starts out with this guy Ignatious, or Ig a year after his girlfriend Merrin is murdered. He grows horns from out of his head... for no real reason. And then a few chapters in we find out who really did it and then we find out why and that thi...
