Woman Crush Wednesday: Leslie Knope

Leslie Knope is probably my favorite female character of all time... here is why shes' awesome.

1) She is an amazing best friend- She is such a good friend to Ann Perkins and pretty much everyone else in her life. Its no wonder why Jeremy Jamm thinks of her as his best friend! She is so nice and thoughtful and will do anything for her friends and go a thousand times above and beyond and outdo herself every year. Thats how good she is as a friend.

And even more than that, she can be friends with absolutely anybody, even if they are complete opposites or have nothing in common. Leslie and Ron are opposed on everything, and yet somehow they're amazingly good friends. Leslie and April really have nothing in common, but they're best friends too. Its not something everyone can do, but Leslie can.

2) She might be "bossy" or "stubborn" but with good reason- If someone were to call Leslie Knope either of those words, I would personally take offense. It isn't being stubborn if you know you're always right. It isn't bossy if you're trying to get things done the best that they can. The episode with her fight with Ann is an amazing example of how she can be both bossy and stubborn... but she gets stuff done and does it perfectly. She knew that job would be perfect for Ann. She knows everyone like 1,000 times better than they know themselves. She is just awesome and basically if Leslie says something, you should listen.

3) She even turns her failures into wins- When she was voted off of the city council, she didn't let that stop her dreams. And she almost got stuck on that, but listened to reasonable advice and decided to dream bigger dreams. Which she did. And that got her an amazing dream job.

4) No one is prouder of her city than Leslie Knope- Leslie's love for Pawnee is something that doesn't happen every day... but the fact that it exists... even if it is just on a tv show... makes me think the world is a better place for some reason. She just lives in a small town in Indiana, but it has good waffles and its weird and its amazing. Pawnee just sounds like a place I would want to live in too... and its kind of awesome.

5) She loves waffles- I love waffles! This could totally work out we could be bffs and go to Jay Jays and get waffles for Galentine's day!

So yeah... that is why Leslie is so so amazing. I feel like I could post about her for days... but I won't... so...

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
