Scribbles about TV: Community Season 6 News

So I was going to do a few different posts today... One is a tv review that I think I'm going to wait until Thursday for... and then I was thinking of doing a trailer review, but that I'm going to wait a little for too because there were only 2 trailers I wanted to see really and one of them is for a show on Lifetime that I have no idea what the name is... but its supposed to be controversial because its about women actually giving birth.

Anyway I woke up today seeing that there was some news about Community's premier date for Yahoo. Awesome! I had a feeling they would let us know this week when we could watch more, there are lots of new cast members that have been appearing and I feel like things are being released quite often about Community... so that is good. Anyway it comes back March 17th to Yahoo, which is for free and new episodes will be released every Tuesday from that day on... so that is good news.

Yahoo had another great webseries called Burning Love, and I think they have other tv shows... not quite sure, but their player isn't all that great. I'm going to download the app and just watch it on my ipad cause it usually works a little better that way and its just kind of easier to watch on an app anyway.

Also I watched this trailer for it that was just a teaser they announced at Comic Con that I had never seen before... but the interesting thing about it is that it describes Community as a "Bionic" show that will never die... If I had seen that a few months ago, I would have thought "yeah, it came back, that is pretty awesome. Its probably going to end after this year though." But I don't think that is the case anymore. Dan Harmon said in Entertainment weekly that he will continue to make Community as long as people continue to watch it... I don't think I'm going to stop watching it any time soon... so this show will be on forever! Lol, Entertainment Weekly said it could be like Degrassi, and honestly I'd still watch it if all the current characters left. I think they would still have interesting new characters that I would really want to see. Plus they have an open door policy for Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, and even Chevy Chase... even though his character was killed off! So they probably would still have people returning and changing things. I didn't think it would be the same after Donald Glover left, but I kept watching and to be quite honest it was hard to notice he was gone even because everything else was so smart and funny.

And I really thought season 5 was one of the best seasons of Community all in all. I could watch the Meow Meow Beans episode every day of my life and still find it amazing. It is my favorite of the entire show. And that was after Chevy and Donald left!

Also it seems like Yahoo is a great place to have a tv show. They gave Community a bigger budget than NBC did, they can curse and have nudity if they want, and it seems their getting more and more guest stars. Plus its nice to know that you really don't have to care about the ratings. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to write for a Network TV show... but this sounds amazing!

I really admire Dan Harmon for keeping this show and making it what it is today. He could have left the show and the other writers could have taken over and the show wouldn't be the same, but he came back and his comeback was AMAZING! And he really isn't looking for ratings, recognition, or to make a ton of money. He's just making this show basically for himself and anyone else that will watch it too... and that is awesome.

I'm really confident with this new Yahoo announcement and I'm so excited about all of it. March 16th... where are you? Okay, Parks and Rec will be over by that point, so don't come too fast... but after Febuary 24th please come quickly! Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
