Chart Chat 11.24.17

Chart chat is moved to Fridays now? Makes sense! Here we go!

10) Jigsaw- This will probably be off the charts this weekend because... who really wants to see Jigsaw on Thanksgiving. I'm interested in what people will see this holiday weekend... my guess is Coco. But yeah! This is a movie.

9) Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri- This is about a mom... I'm presuming played by Francis McDormand and she's not happy with how the police are handling investigating her daughter's murder... so that sounds interesting. I don't know if I like Woody Harrelson or Francis McDormand who are the stars of this movie... I see Harrelson as Grace's Boyfriend from Will and Grace... or Haymitch or the guy from Zombieland... idk.

8) Lady Bird- I saw the trailer for this and it looks amazing. My kind of movie for sure. I really want to see this one! Very interesting looking.

7) A Bad Mom's Christmas- I want to see this movie too! I really like Bad Mom's and I love Christmas movies... so I'm happy to see them combined.

6) The Star- This is a religious cartoon about the animals that are following Mary and Joseph the night that Jesus is born... I think? Or something like that? It reminds me of Nester- which is one of my favorite Christmas cartoons actually... but this one doesn't look as cute. It does look funnier. I'd probably rather watch a 30-ish minute tv special like Nester than this feature length movie... but that's just me.

5) Murder on the Orient Express- This sounds amazing. Great, great cast... I really want to see this one. It's suspenseful and exciting.

4) Daddy's Home 2- I still don't get why this movie is so popular... no idea who the audience is for... whereas I'm surprised Bad Mom's didn't do better... because I feel like that has more of an appeal... but I guess Mom's maybe don't get to the movies as much... idk lol. I'm an aunt and a babysitter- and I don't get to the movies often because of that.

3) Thor: Ragnarock- This looks funny. And good. Haven't seen the Thor movies... but I think this is the fresh take that they needed.

2) Wonder- This movie looks adorable. I'm surprised it's so high on the charts- but at the same time I really want to see it so it shouldn't surprise me at all.

1) The Justice League- I feel like I need to see these movies because of Wonder Woman getting so much buzz... but I'm not really into Ben Affleck... so that's not my favorite. I probably won't see this anytime soon... but it's a movie... so yeah!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
