Hump Day Update: 11/29/17

What I'm Watching

I feel like everything has been repeats lately on TV- but I've been watching a lot of Christmas specials on TV. I watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and The Thanksgiving Day Parade... I watched Rudolph last night and Santa Clause is Coming to Town recently... and the Victoria Secret Fashion Show- which was last night... so yeah that was all good.

I also watched some episodes of Mom and some repeats because it is now in syndication... so that's exciting.

There was an I Heart Radio Music Festival on on Friday Last Week and that was really great.

Just a lot of good holiday music specials lately.

News

Matt Lauer was fired from NBC amongst Sexual Harassment allegations.

Prince Harry is Engaged to an American Actress named Meghan Markle. The Queen's Corgis approved... so that is a good sign. I'm also popular with Corgi's... just sayin.

Food and Drink

I went to a place in Asbury called Loteria. That is really good... I had a Carne Asasda Burrito... it was delicious. They also have amazing queso.

I've been drinking a few Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate's from Starbucks. Those are really really good. I'm excited that those are finally back.

I went to Molly Pitcher Inn for a Bridal Shower over the weekend... the food there was lovely!

I had Pierogi's and a Spiked Apple Cider from Bahrs Last night... delicious!

Leftover Turkey obviously... great for Thanksgiving Sandwiches.

The Garden Dill Spreadable Cheese from Finlandia. So yummy!

Cookies from Kirkland Brand at Costco... they come in a tray and they're mostly shortbread type cookies with chocolate on them... sooo yummy. One of our guests brought those on Thanksgiving.

Favorites

I love doing festive things. I'm seeing Santa Tomorrow... I went to see the Tree Lighting and the Christmas Bazaar at Asbury... it's just a fun time of year.

I also made a Christmas Jar filled with ornaments from Target and Dollar Tree... and some fluff from a stuffed toy my dog got. I have some little jingle bells in there too.
I'm super proud of this.

Other Stuff
I'm soooo excited to see Santa tomorrow! I know him! I know him!

Byeee!

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...
