Hump Day Update (11.8.17)

What I'm Watching

American Horror Story! Both Cult and Murder House... I didn't like Cult this week... but I'm excited for the finale. I liked this season a lot... but I'm kind of happy that it's ending because it's just pretty tense... and it's a great season but it's hard to watch.

I watched the ABC comedies... I liked Fresh Off The Boat, Blackish and The Mayor... Blackish was especially good... this season has been my favorite so far.

I kind of saw the Middle... I like the show but I'm okay with it being the last season. It's not bad... but I don't think any season was "The Best Season Ever" or something... I just think it's a good show that hasn't jumped the shark... it's just kind of run its corse.

News

Disney was looking into buying 20th Century Fox... but then they didn't... I have no idea why this is in the news as it was already announced that they wouldn't be partnering. Disney could have possibly acquired properties like the X Men movies and Avatar... which are already associated with Disney... but they didn't reach an agreement so there was no purchase. I feel like they just wanted movies like X Men and Avatar on the streaming Service but... yeah that didn't happen.

Food

Egg Nog! Hood Egg Nog is my favorite... I haven't found my favorite flavor Sugar Cookie Egg Nog yet... but the Vanilla is really good, the Pumpkin is great... I just really like these a lot.

There's a Dill Cheese Spread I've been Loving... I'll probably mention it in my weekend post... but I just really like it a lot.

Favorites
I'm sleeping in my new room now... and I'm loving it! I have my Ikea Micke desk set up right now... it's one of the corner desks and it's really cute and good. I also really like the bed, it's a Malm bed and Mattress... if you buy the bed on it's own it's not fully supported. It's just a bed frame, there's nothing to actually hold up the mattress... so keep that in mind if you buy it... They weren't in the display along with the Malm Bed and they had a name other than Malm... so it's tricky to find... but it's something to keep in mind when you're shopping there. We had no idea until my dad set up the bed... I do still like it a lot, the mattress is sooo comfy and I've been sleeping really well!

Still reading Big Little Lies from Lianne Moriarity... Haven't read much more... but I like it.

I'm listening to Comedy Bang Bang again... that's a really funny and great show all around.

And I did a little puzzle last night... it's for kids and it's a minion puzzle so it was just 50 pieces... although I think I'm missing a piece in mine... But I'm using it as a coaster currently!

Other Stuff

Don't you hate when people kind of force their opinions on you in public... I don't want to share my example of this... but someone kind of publicly talked about something controversial to talk about and then stated her opinion... which is not what I agree with... but she stated it in a way that implied agreement from everyone. I didn't want to argue with this person so I just kind of avoided her as much as I could in this situation... and I vented about her later to people that would also find her annoying... maybe that isn't the right thing to do... but arguing with her wasn't worth it.

Anddd... ANY TIME I sneak food into my room... it wakes up my dog... and then he wants some. Particularly Polly- O String Cheese and Egg Nog because I usually share those with him. Last night I kept the sink in the kitchen running so he wouldn't hear the sound of me pouring Egg Nog... and it worked! I hope my dog doesn't read this and figure out my secret... ugh! Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
