Chart Chat (11.14.17)

10) Lady Bird- This got amazing reviews and Oscar Buzz from Sandy Kenyon who said that he really loves being a movie critic for having the chance to see little movies like this. And he said this movie will be talked about in the future around Oscar time. It sounds amazing!

9) Happy Death Day- I've talked about wanting to see this before... but I have to say I don't love the repetitive type movies like 50 First Dates... I've never seen Groundhog Day... but maybe I'll give this a chance when it's on TV or video... as long as I don't have to see it on my birthday... which is why I didn't want to see this.

8) Blade Runner 2049- I'm just kind of waiting for this to leave the charts.

7) Geostorm- This sounds interesting... but not my thing. Lol. I'm surprised it's still on the charts... but it's been on for a bit I think... and that's a thing.

6) Tyler Perry's Boo 2: A Madea Halloween- Surprised to see this on the charts also still... I just figured Halloween had been passed enough now that people would want to see Christmas stuff instead... but I guess this is funny enough that it made it to number 6!

5) Jigsaw- I'm not a fan of the Saw Movies... I feel like I didn't know if they were still a thing or not... maybe if you're really into Saw this would be good but... because I'm not ehhhhhhhh this just isn't my thing.

4) A Bad Mom's Christmas- I want to see this. I think I want to see it a little closer to Christmas though- it looks good! I love Bad Mom's and this looked really good too!

3) Murder on the Orient Express- I'm excited to see this. What a great cast! Surprised it's not higher on the charts... not surprised at the number 1 spot... but the number 2 spot surprises me a little bit... we'll talk about that... but this looks so good and the cast is amazing!

2) Daddy's Home Two- First off... Weird that they actually write out the word two instead of 2... but I don't understand who this movie is made for. It seems like the jokes are too adult for kids, the concept doesn't really sound interesting for teens or people my age and in their 20s... can't imagine anyone older than me really liking it either... it's just such a weird audience that I'm not really sure who this is made for or why a sequel got made... I kind of want to see it... but it doesn't make sense to me.

1) Thor Ragnarock- This is the 2nd week in a row with this at the top spot... It sounds like a fun movie and I really like the director of it. I think I'll see this one day lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
