How To-sday: How To Arrange a Bookshelf

Ahhhh arranging a bookshelf. If you thought you knew how to do it you're probably wrong because I just did it wayyy better!

1) Use it For DVDs
I don't always keep a lot of my books... so many of my book shelves are really DVD shelves. So yeah.

2)  By Genre...
You ever think "Hey I'm in the mood for a horror Movie" and all you're finding is rom coms? Fear no more! Just arrange your dvds according to different genres. I have a section for Romantic Comedies/Chick Flicks, Horror and serious movies... on that shelf I also have my X Files DVDs and Tim Burton Movies because that fit there... One shelf I have cartoons, kids movies and holiday movies... one shelf is comedies, next shelf is TV... and I think that's it.

3) Give Wes Anderson Movies Their Own Shelf-
The only movie that didn't fit in my collection was The Royal Tenenbaums... Couldn't figure out where to put it... so it might get it's own shelf. Maybe I'll get other Wes Anderson Movies to put on that same shelf? Right Now I think I have it with the Chick Flicks because I had some room there.

4)  Put Other Stuff there?
I had some room so I ended up putting my Bath and Body Works Perfumes on one shelf. I kind of like that because then when I use my perfume in the morning I can see what sort of movies I have and I can be like "Ohh... I should watch Pitch Perfect Tonight."

5) Dedicate some space for your faves
As I said with books... I don't necessarily keep every book I have because I'm unlikely to read them more than once... but some of my favorites are Harry Potter and The Princess Diaries. I also have a lot of Autobiographies from different people like Mindy Kaling, Tina Fey and Others that I'm obviously going to keep... so those have a shelf. I have a whole shelf with all of my Friends DVDs which is exciting. I watch these a lot or go back to reread them a lot... or I just like looking at them. So they have their own shelves.

6) Movies or Books You Don't need to see or read more than once? Get rid of them!!!
There are some books and movies that are good... but do you really think you'll watch them again or read them again? No. Give it to someone else- see if they'll enjoy it and make some more room on your shelf!

That's everything I can think of! Hope you guys are as awesome at life as I clearly am lol... and I'll see you tomorrow!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
