10 Thanksgiving Favorites

Alright-  Thanksgiving is a little under appreciated as a holiday- and I get it- it isn't as glamorous or fun as the two holidays it is sandwiched in between. My next post will probably be Christmas Related... but Thanksgiving is good too! And I want to talk about it! I'll also probably mention Christmas because I do feel like they go hand in hand. These are in no particular order!

1. Friends Thanksgiving Episodes- Everyone knows these are the best episodes of Friends! Whether they have special guest stars, love interests, bad trifle, mocklate, or turkey's getting stuck on Joey's head... they are always the best episodes! They are almost as good as Monica's Moist Maker Sandwich!

2. The Thanksgiving Day Parade- I'm not too into parades- but I do really love watching all the balloons of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I used to especially love it when Macy's would release the special plushes to go along with the main Balloon... and I'm sad they don't do that anymore- but I still like watching the Parade.

3. Anticipation for the Holiday Season- I feel like as an adult I like the Buildup to Christmas more than Christmas Day. Maybe it is because I work in retail and I like putting out Christmas Stuff... and I also like making sure that Christmas isn't a Blur to me... but I really like the buildup to Christmas and Thanksgiving is really fun.

5. Stores that Stay Closed on Thanksgiving- I hated working on Thanksgiving Night... and I'm always happy when I see that some stores stay closed on Thanksgiving. The one time I had to work- I worked late on Thanksgiving Night- so around Midnight I was there... then I had to close on Black Friday the next day... so I went to bed for a few hours... I had too many blankets on and woke up feeling sick... didn't actually get sick- but I did wake up for a few hours and then fell asleep on the couch while company was over. And then I had to get up and get back to work for Black Friday... so I appreciate stores closing on Thanksgiving and prefer to shop online.

6. Food- Duh! It may not be a day centered around candy like Halloween... but it is a day based around eating a lot of really great food!

7. Black Friday- So I like stores that close on Thanksgiving- but I do love Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales. You can get some good deals and I have fun shopping and working on Black Friday.

8. Chestnut Praline Latte- This is my favorite holiday drink from Starbucks- but I associate this flavor kind of with Thanksgiving. I just feel like this is a nice transition flavor and sometimes I get the more christmasy flavors after Thanksgiving. But I still love this the best.

9. Fall Leaves- I love the colors of the fall leaves in November. They just look really pretty on a grey day with a little bit of sun. It just makes me really happy.

10. Leftovers- Definitely going to make a Moist Maker sandwich this year with my leftovers. I'll make sure to give you guys the recipe... but in general I do love Thanksgiving Sandwiches!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
