What I got for Christmas 2019

I'm not bragging... I just like to watch these videos and I thought that I would share what I got with you guys!

First off let's start with some makeup! I got pretty much all of the lipsticks from the Safiya Nygaard Colourpop collab line. The only one I didn't order was "Brucie" because the whole collection was sold out when I ordered it- so I needed to order them all individually... and I didn't think I would wear Brucie so I didn't really want to get it. I'm a big fan of Safiya's videos- I try to always watch them when they come out and I'll catch up if I don't watch it right away... so I wanted to try these colors! I was really excited for them- I'll probably post a lip swatch post on my beauty blog.

I also got the Mercury Retrograde palette from Huda Beauty. This is a really fun palette with a lot of wearable colors. From what I've used so far I really love it... but I'll have to use it more times before giving a full review!

My sister also just started selling Lipsense and Senegence so she got me the Gingerbread Lip Kit- which came with the lip color in Gingerbread, Nutmeg, the Gold Glitter Gloss and the Oops Remover. I really like these products- I'm excited that my sister is selling it... and I'm sure I'll post a lot more on this soon. I don't think her Facebook and Instagram pages are public yet... but I'll let you guys know as soon as she makes it public!
I couldn't find the glitter gloss or the other color.

Next up I got some Michael Kors things!!!

One thing I've been looking for for a long time was a "wallet handbag" type of thing. I had one I loved from Target- but it broke and I wanted a well made one... so when I saw the Michael Kors- even though it was splurgy- I knew it would be well made and I knew I would be able to use it a lot. It's in a pink color too... which is so me!

I also got a gold wristlet that matches a handbag that I recently got. It has the MK logo in a really nice gold shimmery print. I'm obsessed! This is a great wristlet and I've been using it as a wallet in my bag because... why not! lol.

I got a couple of tops too. One was a cozy fleecy pink jacket top and one sweatshirt that is sort of dip-dyed. It has an ombre effect on the bottom and I really like it. The sweatshirt is cropped- but I'm probably going to wear something under it cause I don't do crop tops.

Next up I got some Funko Pops! I had to get the Pop Town of Hagrid's Hut with Fang. I think this is really nicely detailed and it's adorable! So nicely done... I might do a funko friday on this soon!

I also got the Boxlunch Exclusive Frozen Water Noxx. This was like my favorite scene of the movie- seeing else riding the horse and it turning from water to ice and then back to water... it was really fun to watch and I thought it was cool and really pretty.

I also picked up Golliath from Gargoyles- I've been having some luck finding the gargoyles pops. Golliath is actually the second one I've found in the wild. I've been watching Gargoyles on Disney+ so- that is a fun one for sure!

I also got the Go! Exclusive Date Mike Michael Scott- this one is so cute! I will definitely do a Funko Friday on this! It's so cute and I just like how much this looks like Michael in that episode.

I got some scrunchies too! I got a cozy pack and one kind of "fancy" pack. These are actually really good scrunchies too- I'm excited to have them!

I've used some of the scrunchies... so it's hard to get a picture of the pack. But I think the "Cozy" pack had a pink, grey and a white scrunchy also.

I got the water bottle that I talked about in my blog yesterday too. I'm sad the lid broke... but I think I have another lid that can fit it.

Most of my stuff I picked out myself- but my parents did get me a few surprises. I told my mom that I really liked the Cuddl Duds with the thumb holes, so she got me a cuddl dud shirt, pants and a velour hoodie... and of corse the top and the hoodie both have the thumb holes that I like. She also got me slippers which are sooo warm and comfy... absolute favorites!

And they surprised me by getting me the Hess Truck! Hess Trucks are something I try to collect now because one of my grandfathers always got them for me as a kid and my other grandfather collected them himself... so this is a special gift that reminds me of both of them.

They also got me some PF Changs gift cards in my stocking! That was exciting!

And I got a creative lettering kit from my boyfriend and a really nice notebook that I've been using as a bullet journal.

Other than some money, gift cards and things I got myself... that is everything! I hope you guys like it!

Bye!
-Shannon

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
