My New Years Resolution to Drink More Water ALMOST KILLED ME

Ok... I'm probably being a little dramatic with the title... but still! This is something we need to talk about and that's it lol.

So today has been pretty great so far actually. I won an award at work... which was actually really cool and its good to know I'm doing a good job and people appreciate me. I also got to see my niece who is adorable and it's just been a nice day and stuff.

I had my new favorite water bottle filled up- it has little pictures of dogs doing yoga. Sooo cute... and I was drinking it and noticed it kinda smelled bad. Didn't think much of it- just thought "maybe I should clean it" and that should help better. Then I realized the cap broke and I wondered if that was what was causing the smell.

And suddenly it didn't just smell bad. It smelled kind of like cement or like paint... so I have no idea if whatever was holding the cap together broke and released into my bottle or if something else happened... or if I'm just going crazy and it just smells because it's a new water bottle. I don't know but... I probably won't use the cap- I think I have other caps that will work for it... and I'm washing it out with dish soap right now.

I just think its weird that I got this new water bottle to try to be healthy in the new year and to try to drink more water and for me to actually WANT to drink more water... and even that can be dangerous. It's like when people try to eat salads and then Lettuce gets recalled for E. Coli or something so they go back to eating junk.

It's hard to keep trying to better yourself and I guess the only way to do that is at your own pace really. You don't have to improve EVERY LITTLE THING about yourself from 2019 by January 3rd- just keep trying and look back on December 31st of 2020 and think "Hell yeah, I did a lot this year and I'm better for it." And if you're not it's okay. There's always 2021 and 2022 and more... There's always another chance.

Thanks for reading my sort of unplanned inspirational ted talk of the day annnnd I'll probably see you guys tomorrow!

BYE!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
