It list! July 2014

1) Trueblood- not going to lie, this show got a little weird for me in season 5. I wasn't into the whole vampire religion or Billith thing. I thought it was kind of ridiculous... But that is the lovely thing about trueblood as a whole. It is ridiculous and campy and that is what has kept me watching for years and why I will continue to watch it. I still love all of the characters and I had to catch up on season 6 so that I could watch the final season now... And I've been really liking it. I have some recaps and reviews up and I will be continuing doing so every Sunday... So yeah expect some posts!

2) Gone Girl- I saw the trailer for this and I was curious. My mom has about a thousand books, so I asked her if we had this and we did and I started reading it immediately... And I'm pretty hooked. I'm really interested to see the movie now. I think it's also really well written too the way that it shifts between Nick and Amy's point of views. And it's interesting that we learn more about Amy from Nick's story and more about Nick from Amy's story. The past couple of days I've been meaning to just sit down and dedicate it to reading and finishing this book because I need to know what happens... And I haven't had time for that really...but expect a blog when I do!

3) The pool- Speaking of reading,I love reading in the pool! It is just one of my favorite things to do in the summer! Just being outside getting a bit of a tan and enjoying a good book is just super relaxing and I completely love it! Too bad it's rainy today and it sucks a lot... But when it's nice I like it a lot!

4) Corn on the cob- Another summer fave of mine! It is absolutely perfect this time of year! In Nj it's easy to find a nice local farm stand type of place and find really good corn on the cob. It just tastes good with absolutely everything and it is one of my favorite things about summer as a whole!

5) Almond Breeze Iced Coffee- This is a little hidden grocery store gem. I've been meaning to buy something like this for a while and when I saw this I got excited! I got the mocha flavored one and there is a caramel macchiato one that I'm on the lookout for too. It's made with almond milk too obviously so it's dairy free and 100 calories per cup. Yayyy yummy and I don't feel guilty... Not that I would but it's nice not to feel guilty.

6) Boathouse Salted Caramel iced coffee- this is a less healthy find that I saw at wawa. If you don't live near a Wawa... I'm sorry but this is seriously amazing and they carry boathouse in most grocery and convenience stores anyway. I only had this once but it was sooo soo good. Wayyy better than the Starbucks frappecino things. I need to find this again because I don't really go to wawa that often. This is probably less healthy than the almond breeze iced coffee... But it is probably more delicious!

7) Tammy- This is probably my movie of the summer. I liked Maleficent a lot also, but I'm a comedy fan and this is one of my new favorites! I love Melissa McCarthy and she wrote it and stars in it and it's just sooo soo great! I have a review on it and I definitely recommend seeing it. I know it got pretty bad reviews... But it's a good movie filled with laughs and I think if you're wanting to see a comedy I recommend this!

8) Blog Notebook- I have a few blogs right now and it's been a little hard to keep up with posting on them and this makes it a little easier. I just write everything I want to write before actually typing it. It's nice and makes everything more organized and really easy to keep up with. It's like a blog diary I really like it!

9) Bath and Body Works new summer collection fragrances- I couldn't just pick one, they all smell really good. I got 3 of the mini fragrance mists. Cool coconut surf is probably my favorite of all of them, it's just a nice coconutty scent. It smells a little like the Oahu mist, but this is kind of cooler. I also have hello sunshine, which is a floraly sunshiny scent. Kind of like Country Chic, but different enough for me to buy it. And then I have sunset by the pool which is another floraly light scent that I really like also. The other scents were good also... May get more minis... Probably not but I might lol.

10) New York and Company clothes- haha my own place of work is a favorite now! Lol I was looking at the new stuff when I was doing the floor set and it's all really cute and trendy. There are lots of florals and cute colors and I really think of all the time I've worked there and have been shopping there, this is like the cutest stuff. And I've always liked their clothes, but this is probably the stuff I've been most excited for in a while. It's all super cute, these are adorable work clothes, so if you're thinking of buying new cute work clothes, I definitely recommend it!

Let me know your July Musts!
Byeeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
