Gone Girl Review-Spoiler free

So I just finished reading the book Gone Girl and I absolutely loved it. I liked it so much that I'm going to split my reviews in 2. 1 for if you're thinking of reading it but haven't yet...or if you are reading it and aren't super into it at the beginning. And then I'll go more in depth in my other one so that if you've read the book already, you know what happens.

This book doesn't start out slow really... But I can see how if you're just reading the first part you may not like it right away. The characters Nick and Amy don't seem very likable and their marriage just seems bad for no real reason. It's entertaining... But I was starting to wonder how it could be a book that was 400 pages... But there is a huge twist in the middle of the book that changes everything and it makes it basically impossible to put down for the rest of the book. Everything you thought about the characters changes completely.

I'll talk more about this in my spoiler review, so once you've read it you'll probably see what I mean... But the twist isn't something you can really see coming, but it is all there and everything adds up. It probably wouldn't be your first guess but it's there. There is a little bit of information that makes you rethink things that have happened up to the time of that event and... There are coincidences. If you're observant you'll probably get what's going on. I kind of did, but it was right before it happened... And you're kind of focused on hating someone so it's easy to miss.

That kind of makes sense lol.

The end of the book wasn't as exciting as I thought really. It's a slightly satisfying ending, it doesn't tie everything up really. Gillian Flynn, who wrote this book and is the screenwriter for the movie also did say that the last third of the book may be different in the movie... So I don't really know what to expect from that, but I would like to see a different end.

So that's it. This is a total must-read. I'm not super into mysteries or anything, but I loved this. I think this may be my favorite book ever. It's really great and I highly recommend it!

Byeeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
