Shannon Goes Viral:Weird Al edition

This is the most fun I've ever had doing any blog ever! Basically I just watched a bunch of weird al videos and that's how that happened. Lol. Weird Al has made some great new videos and songs recently... And he has some other songs I like. I'm a big fan so here we go. I'm going to start with a classic just to set the mood... A song I never thought I would use with Weird Al songs! Lol.

1) Trapped in the Drive thru- The best parody of all time possibly. It's a longer video because it is a parody of R.Kelly's trapped in the closet parody which is like a movie length music video basically. I've tried watching trapped in the closet and I've laughed because it just makes me think of this. It's good and I'll probably watch it sometime somehow but it's too funny to me now. Lol. I've watched this like 30 times and I watched it twice just for this post, and it totally doesn't get old. Best parody ever I'll always love this song so much! 10 out of 10 onions!

2) Word Crimes-this is a parody of Blurred Lines about the bad grammar of the internet, misspellings, and misuse of words. This is super funny to me because I'm an English major and honestly, I make these mistakes quite often. No one is grading my Facebook status I really don't care all that much. I've gotten yelled at in YouTube comments, but it's probably by teenagers that are trying to make themselves feel smart and I'm just like "I can actually speak Chaucerian English and dictate the meanings of every work of his, plus compare it to Shakespeare, Milton and other famous authors right now... You really want to insult my intelligence bitch"... But I would never say that. Weird Al does make a good point though. Someone I know was trying to make an activist type of status once and they said "they don't care about there animals" and I'm like "really? THERE?" So stupid... And I would probably dump a guy for using bad grammar in text form depending on how bad it was. Lol. It just bugs me. So the message is good, the video is soo soo funny. (I realize the irony in my spelling of "so" there). It's good. 10 out of 10 dictionaries.

3) Tacky- This is a parody if Happy. It's super funny and has a bunch of celebrities in it too, but it is my least favorite so far. I mean I say that and I was still laughing out loud at all of this. Kristen Schall, Margaret Cho, Eric Stonestreet, and Jack Black are all in this video and someone else who I don't recognize but is probably super famous. It's really funny they are all wearing Tacky clothes and singing bout tacky things. 10 out of 10 Ed Hardy Shirts!

4) Foil- This is a parody of Royals by Lorde... At first it seems like it's just something that is a standard weird al parody about leftovers,.. But it has a bit of a turn that makes it even funnier. I just thought this was absolutely Brilliant. Patton Oswalt and Tom Lennon were also in the video... It was just all around super funny and I think I'm going to watch it again. 10 out of 10 acordians!

5) Handy- This is a Parody of Fancy... Which I really like. I actually think I like the beat of this song a little bit better for some reason. It's about a handyman and I feel like this will be funnier with a music video... Which I'm sure will be up tomorrow since it seems they've been releasing one video a day. This was just the song, but it was really funny. I give it 10 out of 10 Hammers.

6) White and Nerdy- I couldn't not put this one in a Weird Al post because this is such a throwback for me! This is a parody of Ridin Dirty from Chammilionaire... Who I wish was still around! What happened to that guy? This song is so good? Anyway this song is just super funny and the two guys in the beginning of the song? None other than Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele otherwise known as Key and Peele! Sooo soo funny! I recognized them right when I rewatched this today! I don't think that's how they met... But that would be super funny. Lol. I give this one 10 out of 10 pocket protectors.

So that is it. I love weird al and if you're in a bad mood at all... I definitely recommend listening to some Weird Al Yankovik because he is just too too funny. Ohhh man. This is like the best day just because I thought of watching a bunch of Weird Al videos. Seriously if he releases a video for a song every day this week... It just might be the best week in history. It just might!

Byeeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
