November 2014: It List

1) Yes Please by Amy Poehler- Amy Poehler has a book now! And it is kind of amazing! Not kind of, really amazing and funny and really good. This will probably take me a little longer to read because its too big for me to bring on the train... plus I like extending reading these books so that I can feel like I'm bffs with these women for a long time. Lol. I love Amy Poehler and I love that she has a really funny book out.

2) Horns by Joe Hill - I just finished this book and did a review on it... I loved it. I also did a review on the movie... didn't love that so much, but the book is really detailed and had lots of twists and just kept me interested all around. It was so sooo good. It's my kind of horror book because it had a little bit of everything. There was humor, some science fiction elements, a mystery that was very real. The end was really cool. Overall great book!

3) Jiff Whips Pumpkin Spice- This is delicious. It's a peanut butter spread that tastes like Pumpkin Pie. I use it on Graham Crackers and Pumpkin Eggo Waffles... which are also delicious. Sooo soo good overal. Really really like it!

4) American Horror Story- You probably know I have a bit of an obsession with AHS... but this year I feel more obsessed. This was the first time I was really seeing the connections between the seasons... so I'm kind of trying to watch them all at once and see what's connected and stuff. It's been really fun. I have a super

5) Dunkin Donuts Sugar Cookie Latte- This latte is amazing! Its so sooo good I need to have it more often... these are just absolutely amazing. I get it hot cause its cold out. I guess you could get it iced too but you know. Its really really good. Lol.

6) Hood Egg Nog- Its a bit early for Egg Nog yet... but hear me out. Hood Egg Nog is amazing. They have different flavors. Right now I haven't been able to find my 2 favorite flavors Sugar Cookie (the absolute best thing that exists) and gingerbread. Right now the Pumpkin Egg Nog is out and that is perfect for right now. Its just yummy and amazing. They also have "Golden" Egg Nog, which I think is just regular... I'm not quite sure. Hood is what starbucks uses in their egg nog lattes. Its damn good. Lol.

7) Cashmere Glow- Lately I've really been loving this scent. Its just such a lovely warm scent, perfect for fall and winter. It smells like peach and vanilla and sandalwood... I just really love this scent. Especially this time of year! This is from Bath and Body works, btw!

8) It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Celebration Palette- I can't even with this palette. It is sooo soo good! Its a beautiful all matte neutral palette and its very VERY neutral, so at first I was kinda like... hmm idk about this... but yes. It is amazing. It comes with a transforming ombre pearl shade that is supposed to give the shadows a shimmery finish... it kind of makes the color a little different, but it still looks absolutely beautiful. I love this palette!

9) Purple- Lately I've been loving the color purple and Idk why. Different shades too. Mostly I've been liking a lighter purple thats very bright... almost like a pinky purple. I got these leggings from American Eagle that are purple and have flowers on them and then I got a sweater from Target's Mossimo line to go with it... and I've just really been liking the color purple lately. I also have purple glasses so it all kind of goes. I know it isn't all that fallish, but I like it anyway!

10) Burger Shop 2- I've been playing this game the past couple days... and it is addictive. I like playing it around this time of year and idk why... I guess cause its cold and I don't like leaving my house that much. lol. I play this on games.com btw if you're looking to find it!

11) Too Many Cooks- I feel the need to mention this one. I don't know that I completely get it... but its pretty damn funny. And it was stuck in my head all weekend... along with All About That Bass. They hadn't been stuck in my head until I'm mentioning it now.... ohhh god.

That is everything! I hope you guys are having a fun month. I love doing these posts and I will have some more holiday-themed ones along with regular ones throughout the next few months... so keep that in mind.

12) Serial- I'm listening to this podcast right now... And it is awesome. I'm really digging it. It's a podcast murder mystery serial and I'm on episode 2 and I'm confused and I need to know what happens! I love mysteries and this one is great.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
