Throwback Thursday: what it's like to work on Thanksgiving.

So somehow Thanksgiving became pretty much an opening act for Black Friday... And a lot of people think that's a terrible thing... And it's a little messed up, but in some ways it also makes Black Friday more like Thanksgiving. More people probably shop with their families than usual and that's always a nice thing. For the people working... From experience it isn't terrible.

Usually, the customers aren't that violent or demanding. In fact, I think the majority of people are really nice around the holidays. Sure, a lot of the grumpier customers I've had have been around the holidays... But for the most part they aren't mean or anything. They make a mess, sure but for the most part it all gets cleaned by closing, so it isn't too too bad.

One thing I don't like is that it smells worse than any other day. Most people just had a big meal and they're stomach isn't feeling fantastic most likely... So there are farts. There is crop dusting and farts and it is stinky and terrible. And the farting etiquette is not the best in a store with no bathrooms... So there is that.

The other thing is, I like to shop too! And you can't really if you're working. There is usually a tote bag at the mall that I couldn't get even though I was there before anyone else. And there was a special at Victoria secret where they had perfume for like $20 for that day only. I really wanted the Victoria fragrance... But of corse when I went on Saturday, they didn't have it :(. I'm hoping they do the same thing this year... Even though I don't really want the perfume as bad and I have the mini mist... I'll actually be shopping this year so I can get the deal at least. Ohh well lol.

Anyhoo that is about it. It's a fun event I suppose lol. I'm happy to be shopping this year... But not right after I eat probably, so I won't fart at least. Lol.

BYEEEE!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
