Scribbles about TV: Top 5 episodes of Community

I've been rewatching Community a lot lately and honestly choosing a Top 5 episodes for this was not even hard. I mean that in a good way. The 5 episodes that are my favorite are kind of like a part of me. Lol Its like a fact about myself that I know, like my Favorite color or something. And usually I say that there's no real order with these... these are kind of in order.

5) Curriculum Unavailable- I really like Season 3... that will be apparent in this little selection. I thought that the idea of Abed going completely crazy town bananapants was great and everyone else is also crazytown bananapants along with him was just great. I loved the clips of all the weird things about Greendale and about everyone else. I love that it totally does seem legit that Greendale could be an insane asylum... its just wow. Wow. Lol.

4) Cooperative Calligraphy- This is the best Bottle Episode that ever existed. And I love that Abed is there explaining that it is a Bottle Episode and what a bottle episode is. These are either the best or the worst episodes of TV for me. I usually hate everyone being stuck in one place... but if the episode is interesting enough, I love it. I actually loved Breaking Bad's bottle episode... but this is not a top 5 Breaking Bad list this is community. I love that its Annie freaking out over a pen. I love that in the end no one took it... I just think its a great episode overall.

3) Regional Holiday Music- This may be my favorite Holiday episode ever. I mean I love all the Community Holiday episodes... but this is definitely #1 for me. At the time I thought it was sooo sooo funny that they made fun of glee. I always loved Annie's "Teach Me How To Understand Christmas." That is just tooo tooo funny. I was watching this the other day and when Troy and Abed sang the Baby Boomer Santa I had like a laughgasm and it was amazing. I just love that they say random events that happened in random decades and saying that Santa invented them. When they get to the 80s and 90s and they say "He made the Iron Curtain and the Gremlins 2 , Fake butter and Aids and Twin Peaks." Just that assortment of things, that Santa did not invent... that is just the funniest little random assortment of things that could happen. Idk I just think its so funny.

2) Remedial Chaos Theory- Of corse... Isn't this collectively everyone's favorite episode of Community? I think this is a favorite... kind of classic episode. I thought it was really funny. At the time I watched it I think I watched it again immediately after because it was just sooo soo good. I don't even usually like episodes that are the same story again and again but this was just soo soo good. I guess the community writers are just that good. I like things that I don't like with other shows lol. And its like such a simple concept too... but its such a good ep. And the fact that every timeline is so different and that these timelines only exist because Jeff roles a die to see who gets the pizza. And its so very Jeff that he only does that so that he doesn't have to get the pizza and its very Abed to stop them.

1) App Development and Condiments- I'm a little biased towards this episode because Mitch Hurwitz is in it and he is my absolute favorite... but even if Mitch Hurwitz wasn't in it this episode is sooo sooo funny that I think it would still be my favorite. I've watched this probably at least 7 times. Greendale becomes this post apocalyptic dystopian nightmare just because of an app where you rate people on how likable they are. I wish they had this when I was in high school because I'm certain this would have happened at my high school. And Jeff's comedy act and Britta's mustard... and the Kugler movie... its just all great and a recipe for the best episode ever for sure.

So yeah those are my top 5. Hope you guys liked this list!

Byeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
