I know a lot of useless trivia... And I'm going to share that.
I have one fun fact about London that I actually learned when I went there. Fleet Street aka the street where Sweeney Todd's barber shop is is a real place. A lot of people probably know that already but did you know that- had the story been true- the address where the Barber shop would have been is now a Starbucks. And next door to it, where Mrs. Lovett's pie shop would have been is now a McDonalds. Might make you think twice before ordering a Big Mac!
During All in The Family there was a contract dispute with Carol O'connor, who played Archie Bunker. During this time, Archie Bunker was absent for a few episodes. Had they not settled on an agreement, they were going to kill off Archie! Can you imagine!
Speaking of TV the first tv couple to have an implied sexual relationship was Morticia and Gomez Addams.
Here's a bit of zombie trivia. Zombies were started as a way for slaves to escape. They would take a type of poison or drug, similar to the one Juliet uses to appear dead in Romeo and Juliet. They would be presumed dead but would come back to life, and that is how zombies were thought to happen.
There are lots of rumors about 90s Nick stars that are all false. Kel Mitchell is still alive. Lori Beth Dinburg is still alive. Steve from Blues Clues didn't get arrested for drugs. I also heard a rumor that Lance Bass died a few years before he came out of the closet. All false. I wonder who starts these things and why.
It is rumored that the word "Drag Queen" came from Shakespearean times. Because women weren't allowed o be in plays at the time, men and often younger boys would play the parts of women. In the screenplays they would say so and so enters D-R-A-G meaning they enter Dressed as a girl. I'm not totally sure I buy that one. It does make sense, but if the characters are girls then why wouldn't they be dressed as girls to begin with. I guess it makes enough sense. I learned that one from the movie Connie and Carla.
That is every random little tidbit of useless trivia. I'll probably do more of these in upcoming weeks! As I am a busy person and these are easy and fun to write. Lol.
