Chart Chat: Weekly Charts 11/17

Soooo I usually post the weekly charts the day that they happen... top songs can change every hour I think instead of just every day... but it probably will be the same 5 damn songs they always play on the radio and that bug the living daylights out of me... with that being said here's the music charts! BTW If you want to listen to a podcast that is a lot better than what I'm posting, listen to Who Charted. That is where I got the idea from lol.

Top 5 Songs

5) All About that Bass by Megan Trainor- If you read one of my old Chart posts... I used to be ALL ABOUT this song... but alas. That was a much simpler time. This song got old really fast and I'm not so sure its sending the message we think its sending. It does give a rather healthy body image... but really its like "Hey I'm Curvy. Objectify Me!" Which... isn't cool. If you read Tina Fey's quote about Kim Kardashian that has been circling the internet... which will probably be what REALLY breaks the internet... that kinda sums it up. Anyway yeah. This song sucks. NEXT!

4) Shake it Off- This is Taylor Swift's worst song. It isn't fun for me to hear on the radio because A) It is overplayed and B) It is undergood. So yeah there is that. Also I can't imagine it being fun to hear at like a bar or a party. It'll just be a bunch of annoying young girls getting excited and talking smack about their exes. While meanwhile said ex will be across the bar and they'll dance and he'll be totally impressed and they'll get back together only to break up again when this song gets old for them too... wow. Thats an elaborate story. I should be a writer... yeah good thing that is what I want to do. Lol.

3) Take Me to Church by Hoozier- I actually really like this song! I'm happy to see it finally catching on for everyone else! This is catchy, its meaningful, its sad its symbolic... I really really dig this song. Its everything I like in a song basically lol. No wonder none of the songs I like get played on the radio.

2) Do They Know It's Christmas?- Okay another good one. At first I was like "wait Christmas songs already?" but this is actually by a bunch of different musicians singing together and the proceeds for it go to charity. Thats a good thing. I'm not sure who all is in it, I definitely heard Sam Smith in the little snippet sample from Itunes. I think One Direction is in it too... It may be a British thing? Idk. I'll listen to the whole thing and maybe I'll do a scribble about a song on it.

1) Blank Space- This is a Taylor Swift song I actually quite like. Its catchy, its meaningful its a little sad even. I think this is the ballsiest song Taylor Swift has out. And I mean say what you will about T-Swift, I've said some good and bad things about her... but girls got some balls! Lol. She's kinda like "Hey I get it I date a lot of dudes... but its okay I'm young and hot and awesome and rich and famous. I got room for one more." Which is awesome I guess.

Movies

5) Gone Girl- I've seen this movie. I've read the book. Both are worth the hype. I bet a lot of people are seeing it because they just finished the book and now they want to see the movie and be smug in the audience when everyone else is all surprised. Which is what I did, and what I like to do with movies. Yeah this is really amazing as is the book, so yeah.

4) Beyond The Lights- This movie looks awful. Like I don't know what its about but I keep seeing the commercials and there is a girl singing and it sounds like she's saying "master master masturbate." And I'm like "alrighty... that is a bit odd but whatevs." Lol.

3) Interstellar- I have no interest in seeing this movie... like at all. I feel like this season all the big Oscar Contenders I have literally no interest in seeing. Except Gone Girl, which I saw and Big Eyes which I want to see. I could not be less interested in the Stephen Hawking movie or this one. And I'm sure they're great movies but... Why can't Dumb and Dumber To get the Oscar? Lol.

2) Big Hero 6- This looks cute. I kind of want to see it, but I feel like I probably won't. Idk. I like that Fall Out Boy is on the commercials. So yeah.

1) Dumb and Dumber To- I kind of want to see this and I kind of don't. I didn't really like Dumb and Dumber... but it wasn't unfunny. I also really like Jim Carey and the commercials were pretty funny. Idk. I like the super dumb movie genre too. Lol. It may be good... might not be. I think it was kind of a shock that this got #1 this week over Big Hero 6 and Interstellar.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
