Scribbles About Food: The Habit Golden Chicken Sandwich, French Fries and a Vanilla Shake

So the Habit is a restaurant I like a lot and I do recommend it... I think they have a great menu. If someone wants a burger and someone else wants something slightly healthier or without meat- this is a good place to go to. The Menu is Versatile enough to make everyone happy... however- in saying all that... whenever I go something is a little bit wrong. And it isn't that bad... but it's enough to make me question The Habit's Motto "There's no substitute for quality."

I think I've been to The Habit 2 other times before and both times the fries were a little soggy. This time I ordered Sweet Potato Fries because those are usually a lot softer anyway... plus it sounded like something that would go well with the sandwich. They didn't give me sweet potato fries though, they gave me regular fries. I could have complained... but that would have just taken more time and it didn't matter all that much. The fries weren't soggy or anything-  they were nice and crispy and delicious... so that was a plus.

I've also had their Onion Rings before and those are really good too! I would have ordered them... but I wanted something new... but then I didn't get that anyway... so... that's an issue.

The shake was really good too. They have shakes and malts... they have kind of a lot of flavors to. They have Vanilla, Chocolate, Mocha... and others I don't quite remember everything, but the Vanilla, Chocolate and Mocha sounded the most interesting to me at least.

And the chicken sandwich... it was really really good. It was very very spicy! It had a red pepper sauce that gave it a lot of spicy, spicy flavor! The chicken was really crispy and good on its own. It also had lettuce and tomato. The lettuce was shredded and it came with 2 tomatoes... so that was really messy... plus they put a lot of sauce on it, so it was especially messy and spicy! I think I would ask for sauce on the side next time because it was a little bit overwhelming.

Ohh there were Pickles on it also, and those were good. At the counter they ask if you want everything on it, so you could ask for something like that... but also I asked for Sweet Potato Fries and did not get them... so yeah. You can ask for anything... not necessarily going to get it.

The restaurant itself is a nice place to sit down and eat. It started in Santa Monica, so there's a lot of California inspired pictures and it has that type of vibe to it... so it's nice to actually sit down, eat and look at pictures and things! It's nice to look at.

Hope this review was helpful! I've had the burgers and I believe a Turkey Burger from here also and those were good... but I'd want to try them again before giving a full review!

Byee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Throwback Thursday: Crazy Ex Girlfriend Season 1

One of my favorite shows is the very underrated Crazy Ex Girlfriend... and when I say underrated I mean the ratings are bad... I'm pretty sure there is a lot of critical hype that is very real and worthy of that sort of hype... I honestly didn't watch it live at all this year until the finale... it was all in my DVR... I had lost a little bit of interest to be honest after the first episode... but I bingewatched it all in one day pretty much and it was great... but that's season 2... let's go back to Season 1. If you're only familiar with Season 2... Season 1 isn't quite as dark. It's definitely more silly than Season 2. It isn't like the darkness and the drama isn't there, it just isn't quite as dark. I have a feeling the show is getting progressively darker, and the Season 2 finale was definitely the darkest so far. The show is meant to be a different spin on a Rom-Com. The girl moves across the country for a guy that has a girlfriend alrea...
