Throwback Thursday: The Most Popular Girls In School

I'm really excited that I rediscovered this show. I was kind of not looking to watch this again... but I was writing something that had high school themes sort of in it with kind of a bitchy vibe... and I saw a post from Brittney Matthew's on International Woman's day... so I was just kind of like "Ohhh. I guess I could watch The Most Popular Girls in School again."

And I did! It was a good throwback and a fun thing to watch. I had only seen the first season and a few episodes of season 2... but I hadn't finished the series at all... so I just thought it would be fun to finish it up and then I could do a little Throwback Thursday on it.

Interestingly enough... The show isn't over yet! They're actually starting production on Season 5 recently! It's been a few years since Season 4. The first four seasons were largely crowd funded and the creators began their own production studio... so they've been trying to work on a larger scale future for MPIGS. So that's cool.

When I watched season 2 I remember I was sort of like "Okay, I'm done with this. It's not bad... but season 1 was more my thing." But it was really funny all the way through watching it this time. I think my favorite season was season 3 because I thought the hipster thing was really funny and the characters in that were really great... but Season 1 is probably what everyone knows and remembers. Ashley Katchadorian was supposed to be watching the goddamn door, Rachel Tice loves Gossip Girl soooooo much, Deandra just wants to poop there... just sooo many classic lines that my friends and I still quote pretty regularly.

I think Brittney Matthews is my Spirit animal. I mean I'm probably like Amber Lynn Weggars in real life... but when I don't like someone, I'm fully Brittney Matthews. She's just soooo mean and funny. I would be annoyed by Saison Marguerite as well. Lol.

And it is kind of amazing that this just started with some discount barbie dolls that some guy used in his kitchen... and now it's possibly even getting turned into a TV Show... Charlize Theron's production company is working on making a TV show based on the series... but the series is coming back to youtube as well... so there might be a lot more of the show.

It's a combination of really funny... but there's also some suspense in the show too and I genuinely wonder what's happening after watching each episode. It's a good balance.

The last season even focused more on doing more than one story line at a time. There was Deandra becoming famous, Than hanging out with the football players, and the McKenzie/ Brittney feud... spoilers... and most episodes focused on each story line all at once and they transitioned it in a way that made it feel a little more like a tv show. I think Season 3 maybe did a smoother job of doing it... but you can tell they've come a long way and they've really improved the show from season 1 on. So I'm excited to see more of it... I'll probably even watch MPGIS seasons 1-4 again... not even going to lie. Lol.

Byeeeee!

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Scribbles about Books: Horns by Joe Hill

I picked this book up not too long ago because after seeing the trailer for the movie and seeing it was based on a book I thought "Hey, that looks good. I should read the book." Then my friend gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday and I thought "Hey I wanted to read Horns, I should grab that." And I did, and I had to read it around halloween of corse! So this is my kind of horror story first of all. I love that the universe it takes place in is very realistic and very small-town. If you've noticed in some of my other book reviews... I like mysteries that take place in small towns. And its very believable because the world and the characters are all so real. I think its a good book just for that. The book starts out with this guy Ignatious, or Ig a year after his girlfriend Merrin is murdered. He grows horns from out of his head... for no real reason. And then a few chapters in we find out who really did it and then we find out why and that thi...
