So here's the weekend box office results! The top 10 movies in the United States... so yeah! Here we go!
10) The Lost City of Z- This does not sound like it's going to be a fun week for me at all... ohhh boy. I have no idea what this movie is about... I'm going to venture a guess it's something I have no interest in seeing... let's see...
Ohhh okay... Who care's what it's about- something about a lost city in the 1920s... but it stars Charlie Hunham... so that's definitely worth watching. Doesn't seem to be doing well at all. This is week 2 and it wasn't on the charts last week... so we'll see what happens with this? It must have been a film festival movie or a foreign movie because it says 2016... so yeah. Idk about this one... but it's a thing.
9) The Promise- Another film festival movie... goody! My favorites... this is about the Ottoman Empire or something and there is a love triangle or something. Christian Bale in it... so yeah.
8) Gifted- This one I would probably watch. Maybe when it's on tv I'll check it out. It doesn't sound all that interesting, but it has a lot of stars that I really like in it. Chris Evans and Jenny Slate dated after they met in this movie... so that's something that might be interesting to watch. I don't know... it sounds good but it's not something I'm that interested in.
7) Unforgettable- This movie sounds terrible! There was a movie like this with Beyonce... and that didn't get good reviews... so if Beyonce can't save this movie... Kathrine Heigl definitely can't. Also... Katherine Heigl is difficult to work with because she's kind of a perfectionist... so she might be talented... but she often insults or refuses to promote movies she's in, like Knocked Up- she said that was a sexist movie and then she didn't really get work again after that... This sounds like its more sexist than Knocked up. Idk... Katherine Heigl seems nice but awkward when she's on The Chew... and I think she's probably a good person... and I feel sad that she can't get work... but this probably isn't a good movie.
6) Smurfs: The Lost Village- Looks cute... feel weird going to a kids cartoon as an adult... but I'm thinking it might be on Netflix... so maybe I'll watch it. I like this cartoon surf thing.
5) Going In Style- Looks funny... bad reviews... not my usual cup of tea... but I think it looks good and I will probably watch it when its on tv.
4) Born in China - I always kind of want to see the Disney Nature movies... this one looks really different and I appreciate the filmmakers that make this. The movie reviewer on ABC New York mentioned how difficult it was for them to capture some things.
3) Beauty and The Beast- Loved this movie! Even better than the cartoon... I hope Disney continues this with their remakes... I have a feeling I will like the Little Mermaid more than the cartoon because of Lin Manuel Miranda. So yes- good stuff here!
2) Boss Baby- Alec Baldwin is really killin it right now, huh? This is the 4th week in the top 2 movies! That is pretty awesome. I know it's a slow week this week... but that is still pretty cool!
1) The Fate of The Furious - I'm sure this will break all sorts of records and do really well at the box office... I don't care all that much.
Slow week... but it's still good stuff to know!
