So after years of not liking Britney Spears very much... I was like "You know... she isn't all that bad. Toxic is a good song. Circus is pretty good too... and I think she had some other good songs on that cd too."
So... I was like "Ohhh I guess I should listen to Circus and see if I become a Britney fan." Spoilerz: I did!
So this album is sexy. Like... really really sexy. There are some sweet songs on this cd too... there's one called " My Baby" that is about Brit's baby (babies?) I guess and that's a really sweet and loving song. This was released in 2009- after Britney's "meltdown" and custody battle... so that's kind of sad. I didn't realize then that this was after that. Wow what a great, powerful song!
So this was kind of Brit's comeback cd... and WOW! What a comeback... maybe Blackout was technically the comeback... but I think this is probably more considered the comeback. And I feel like this is the most iconic of her cds in recent years... because when you think of Britney's tours you think Circus.
So yeah... didn't know my Brit history lesson though... but damn she works bitch! I can totally appreciate that song now because looking at apple music Blackout was released 2007, this was 2008... those were harder times for Brit and she really worked her way up! I remember the "shaving her head" incident... I didn't think she could come back from that... but now I can barely remember that that even happened because she's such a successful badass. I'm super happy she got a second chance cause she really crushed it.
Okay back to the actual CD... I really like Womanizer, Circus and If U Seek Amy and Radar... I think everyone does right? Everyone knows those ones. But then songs like My Baby, Mmm Papi, Mannequin and Phonography are all really great too... this is a really really good cd.
So I would definitely recommend stop what you're doing right now... listen to Circus from Britney Spears and then come back and tell me if you like Britney or not... I can't see how you can't now. 3 days ago I didn't get why people liked Britney Spears now I can't understand why people don't like her. Lol. This is serious!
