Scribbles! : 4/8/17

Scribbles: 4.8.17

Saturday 4.1
April Fool’s Day! I watched Trial and Error with my mom and grandmother… and it was really funny. I love that show and could watch it over and over and over again. And then we went out for Hibachi and that was really, really good too! We had a great time!

Sunday 4.2
I went out for lunch with my parents and I had chicken fingers and a milkshake… then I went to Ulta… went babysitting at my sister’s house and then for dinner with my friend and her puppy and I had chicken fingers and a shake again pretty much lol. It was great! I had a Fried Chicken Fingers and Sweet Corn Mash Bowl from Brick Wall and a Nutella shake for dessert.

Since we went with her dog, who is a super adorable Corgi puppy… everyone stopped by and said “OMG he’s the cutest!” And… it was a little bit much… lol. We still talked and had a good time… but seriously if you see a bunch of people approach someone with a cute dog… maybe let them live their lives and admire from afar. And don’t pick up their dog! Some woman kept picking him up and she kept telling her “He doesn’t like being picked up,” and it was just like at some point we were about to go “Hey, back the F*** off!” Just ask before petting and never pick up anyone’s dog. You never really know how a dog is going to react to a new person… and when you train dogs you have to hold them a little differently and there are ways to pick them up… so don’t do that to a strangers dog because you just don’t know. If it’s family or friends that is different… but otherwise, just ask before petting and don’t pick the puppy up.

Monday 4.3
Today was the first day of babysitting at my house for my baby niece… so that was a lot of fun. She likes anything that starts with the letter B and stories about her Mommy and Daddy… so I have to remember that! I got some blogging done too… so that’s good. Not quite sure how I want to do “Shannon Does Stuff” this month… we’ll see. I have something in mind… but idk how it will work out!

Tuesday 4.4
Today was babysitting again! She was good most of the day, she fell asleep in my arms for a while. She cried kind of a lot… but that’s okay! My mom read her a book that I picked out for her and really liked it! I just kind of saw the cover and said “This is pretty!” So we got it for that… but the story itself was really really cute too and the illustrations were all beautiful! It’s called Will You Be My Sunshine by Julia Lobo and illustrated by Nicola Slater. I’ll insert a picture. My mom knows a lot about kids books- she has friends with kids and grandkids and she worked at a book store- had also never heard of it and she loved it too. It’s so good! Highly recommend if you know a baby… lol.

Wednesday 4.5
Last day babysitting this week. My niece is the cutest. She has such a sweet little smile… and she cries a lot, but for the most part she's a really happy baby. Definitely a cutie. She thinks anything with the word B is funny… it’s just funny to find something a baby finds funny! It’s just super cute.

Thursday 4.6
Today I worked on my instagram mostly… didn’t do a whole lot. I went to AC Moore… I wanted to get into planners… but 1) AC Moore doesn’t really have the planner selection of other craft stores… I don’t think AC Moore is as large of a chain as Michael’s or something… but I didn’t get anything… I don’t think I’ll be doing a crafty planner because craft stores are kind of terrible. Lol. Maybe I’ll do a blog about that because… people LOVE coupons and don’t seem to care if they hold up a line.

Friday 4.7
Didn’t do a whole lot today either… went out for dinner. I discovered my love for reviewing the Chobani Flips… I take pictures of the lids and post them on Instagram… they’re so good, and just fun to talk about. I think I’ll have a “Chobani Flips: Ranked” Post!

Alright… I think that is everything! Hope you guys like this!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
