It List: April 2017

1) 13 Reasons Why- This has been my favorite show of the month I think... It was a really great binge. I was a little skeptical at first because it wasn't really all that subtle. It's predictable... there are a few surprises... but nothing that you can't really predict... it's a good show to watch on Netflix... I'm excited for more seasons... and I was even watching it a second time because I just liked it a lot. It's almost like a movie... which is cool. Brian D'arcy James and Kate Walsh are great... the rest of the cast is pretty good too... I just like it!

2) Unicorn Frap- This is the most unique drink Starbucks has had in a while. It's very flavorful... it's sweet then it gets sour... then sweet again then very sour... it's not for everyone... but I really liked it and it's probably a highlight of the month for me.

3) Sephora and Ulta Sales- I feel like I can't not mention the Sephora and Ulta sales that happened this month... because those just made me really happy. I love makeup, I have a makeup blog, an instagram account reviewing makeup... I just like it a lot. Sephora and Ulta are my favorite places to buy makeup- especially high end makeup... they don't often have sales- but they both had sales recently. Sephora's was 15% off and Ulta's was 20% off... I love everything I got during the sales and I'm just happy because of these sales. I get happy at sales lol.

4) Bullet Journals- This is a fun way of planning... it's a little bit more creative... I'll probably do a bit of a post on my bullet journal so far... so I'm really happy with this and I'll try to keep up with it and be a little bit more creative with it.

5) Plan With Me Videos- Speaking of planning... this week's "Shannon Does It" was going to be a scheduling post... that didn't go all that well... but I'm starting to get the hang of it... I'm kind of liking doing this... so we'll see what happens and if I can hopefully stick to it... and I'll do some plan type posts maybe... it didn't work out the way I wanted to this month thus far... but that didn't really work. Either way I love Plan With Me Videos... I like seeing people doing the same thing in different ways... that just makes me happy and kind of amazes me... so I would say they're a favorite of the month... I'm probably going to try to stick to a better schedule and we'll see what happens... but so far I really like the videos...and Bullet Journaling... that's something right?

6) Life in Pieces- This show is so funny. I know, I didn't like it when I first reviewed it when it first came out... there are several shows I've given great reviews of and haven't continued watching... and this one somehow had the opposite effect. I just love it- its so clever... the 4 short stories thing isn't my favorite way of storytelling on TV... this show gets it right.

7) Trial and Error- This has still been a favorite this month even though I believe it was on last month's it list. It wrapped up a little while ago, I just did a review on that... and it was great! I really liked how it ended... I'm hoping they do more seasons... but right now I'm happy with it... it's a good show. It's a funny show! It's probably all on NBC on Demand right now... I would definitely recommend watching it, especially if you like Parks and Rec, Arrested Development... and even 30 Rock. I think it reminded me of Queen of Jordan because Sherri Shepherd was so great.

8) Justin Scarred on Youtube- This is just a fun youtube channel... I've mentioned it before on this It List, but he's been in Paris recently and his videos have just been really great. It kind of gets you into the history of everything... plus he is staying at Disneyland Paris- which is awesome! His channel has very detailed information about different disney parks and it's just really good. A lot of people have 4 Parks, One Day video- his is definitely the most detailed and I would recommend checking that out... because that kind of gives you a feel of the videos he does.

I think that is everything! Not a lot of favorites this month... but I love all of these things and would recommend checking them out!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
