Scribbles About TV: Trial and Error Season 1 Finale (spoilers)

I loved this show since the very first few minutes... the cast is perfect, the writing is brilliant... everything about it was just really funny and overall just great.

It takes place in a rural town in South Carolina where a bisexual man who teaches poetry is the "town weirdo" and accused of murdering his wife... and could be sentenced to death with little to no evidence against him.

The whole series had a lot of twists and turns and it felt a little bit like Clue... it was goofy and you laughed at everything but really... there was still a dead woman and there were a lot of suspicious people... including Larry... but in the end... it wasn't anyone... it was a bird.

Do I think that was a good choice... not quite sure... lol. I thought it ended nicely... especially because it can be picked up for a second season... which I hope it is... but if it isn't picked up for another season or if they go with a different storyline next season- the end works just as well. There was no real killer... but the team does have a new case and I would like to see them try to solve that...

I thought the characters were super funny... East Peck as a whole is probably my favorite character. It is as important as any character on the show just the way that Pawnee Indiana was... everything about the people in the town can pretty much be attributed by the town itself. It's a very small... rural town. I haven't been to the south too much... I'm sure "the south" as a whole isn't like this... but I'm sure elements of the goofiness of the show can be seen in some more rural areas in the south... and even here... I'm sure there are "East Peck's" in New Jersey. I'm sure there are lots of east peck's in the world... and that's kind of funny.

Let's talk about Jayma Mays for a second... because she is so funny. She is a really funny actress... but I think she often plays the less funny character or just kind of a passing side joke... she was sooo soo funny in this. There is no real "funniest person on the show." Everyone was incredibly funny and I think my favorite characters are Larry and Dwayne... but Jayma Mays was wayyy funnier than I expected her to be.

And Sherri Shepherd... totally perfect... everyone was really quite perfect on the show was perfect... I could say that a thousand times. It was the type of goofy sort of comedy that I was looking for for so long... everyone was so goofy it just worked really well. I was super happy with how it all turned out.

I think that's everything I can say about it.

Byeee!

Scribbles about TV: Jane The Virgin Review!

This I think is a surprise hit, so of corse I needed to watch it for myself to see! It's been getting a lot of critical buzz because it has been reviewed as "one of the best pilots of the season" and I also have been hearing a few critics saying that they don't think it will last because the word "virgin" is in the title... which is stupid. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin and if a show is good, its good and people should watch it... plus this did bring pretty high ratings for The CW so the critics that said that can suck it! Lol. Overall I really liked this show. One thing thats been bothering me a lot about the new Fall shows is that the characters aren't interesting enough. Especially the female characters. I thought that this showed a lot of really strong female characters that were interesting. This had a pretty big cast with A LOT of stuff going on for a pilot and most of the characters were female. That is a powerful thing to see on TV...

Top 10 Dating Tips/ Suggestions

So I've been in a relationship for about 2 and a half years... but before that I was single... for a very long time. And I was on dating apps for about a year or so before that... so here's what I learned from those apps. If you want more specific relationship advice I have from being in a relationship... that one might be a little harder but I guess I could do a blog on that too? Idk... I'm not an expert but I think I have some good tips.  Find an App That Works For You  I feel like not all apps work for everyone. I started on Bumble- and I like the app. I love the idea of girls taking the first move- but... I HATE making the first move apparently. So I would just match with a bunch of guys... and never really knew what to talk about. Plus I like having A LOT of info in my bio and Bumble just doesn't give enough space for me. I only went out with 1 guy from Bumble I think and it was bad.  So after that I tried Coffee Meets Bagel... which is terrible. Maybe depending on...

Scribbles About TV: Jane The Virgin Finale Review (SPOILERS)

So.... Can we talk about all the twists because there were a lot! I didn't even see all of them coming! Alrighty we start out in typical Jane The Virgin Mode with Jane's choice between Raphael and Michael... I'd be okay with either but I think I'm team Michael. Jane has a weird moment with Raphael and thinks she's better off without him and just having him be the father of her child. She's also starting to have some feelings for Michael again. Then she almost has the baby on the bus and some woman helps her and gets the bus driver to take her to the hospital. Rogellio and Xo are in Vegas and they get drunk and can't remember what happens, but they make it just in time to see Jane deliver a baby boy. I knew it would be a boy! Lets pause on that a little and go to Michael and his ex partner/friend with benefits who comes back says she has a lead on Sin Rostro, gives him an address where the plastic surgeon is and by the time Michael gets there, he's de...
