10 Valentine's Day Movies To Watch

I thought this might be kind of a fun thing to do. Since it's Valentine's Day soon... I thought I'd pick 10 movies for Valentines Day viewing. This could be with your significant other... or just by yourself so that you can believe in love or something. These are fun movies!

1) Serendipity- I watch this movie almost every time I see it on tv. It's a fun movie and honestly one of my favorite NYC movies. It doesn't really show anything too interesting about the city... but Serendipity is a very popular restaurant in the city that I've been too a few times... and it's okay. The dessert is the really fun part but the rest isn't bad. Anyway this is about a woman who believes very strongly in fate and she meets a man one time in NYC as a chance encounter... and she does already have a boyfriend- but she thinks maybe they're fated to be together... so she tries to meet up with him before she goes back home... but it doesn't work out... so then years later they're still thinking of each other while she's engaged and he's about to get married and they try to find each other... and they're like just within reach but they keep missing each other. It's just a good movie even though it's kind of silly. Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack star in it along with Molly Shannon, John Corbett and Bridget Moynahan. Side note: I think Bridget Moynahan and Molly Shannon end up together but it is not shown in the movie... anyway... it's a fun one and I always like watching it.

2) My Big Fat Greek Wedding- This is one of my favorite movies in general... and my boyfriend actually watched both movies and he thought they were cute too. We haven't watched it together yet- but still it's a cute movie with a lot of heart. The first one is really good... I think the second one is funnier but the first one is the one I think just about everyone will enjoy.

3) A Star Is Born- So this movie actually doesn't come out on Blu Ray until the 19th- but I believe it is actually in theaters right now because of the Oscars... plus it is available on demand and digitally right now. I'd hold out for the Blu Ray release and celebrate a late Valentine's Day- but thats just me. Also- there are 2 other versions of this movie if you wanted to watch it. The newest Lady Gaga/ Bradley Cooper version is the only one I've actually seen and it is a really lovely love story. The music is great... the acting is great- but the relationship in the movie is something kind of extraordinary. It isn't perfect and both characters are very flawed... but they still love each other above and beyond any of their problems or any of the fame. It is probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. I love it!

4) Basically Any Disney Musical- Disney movies are always fun and usually have quite a bit of romance in it... but they're really fun to watch as a couple too! My boyfriend and I recently watched Tangled and Mary Poppins together and we loved both of those movies... even though there isn't really a love story in Mary Poppins- it still kind of makes you feel like a kid when you watch it... which is romantic all on its own. Lady and The Tramp is another I think I'd watch- there is actually a photo op at Disney Stores. There are some cute things to do.

5) La La Land- This one is a little sad for Valentine's Day- but it is still a beautiful movie that shows a really nice story about a couple... and maybe this is the type of movie you need for Valentine's Day. Maybe you're getting over someone and you need a good cry. I think this could be good for that- even though it probably wouldn't be my #1 date night pick for Valentine's Day. This is also a really beautiful movie that shows LA and Hollywood... so it is kind of a love story for that area as well. Another one of my favorites.

6) The Shape Of Water- I actually haven't seen this movie yet- but my boyfriend loves it and says it is a nice romantic movie... so I might watch it with him on Valentine's Day.

7) Pitch Perfect- I feel like Pitch Perfect is a really fun movie to just watch on your own on Valentine's Day... or with your friends or something. It's a fun movie with a good soundtrack. I kind of want to see the new Rebel Wilson movie for Valentine's Day or Galentine's Day... but if you can't make it to see that- check out Pitch Perfect instead.

8) Ratatouille- IT WOULD BE SO CUTE TO FIND A RECIPE YOU AND YOUR BOYFRIEND BOTH LIKE AND THEN COOK IT TOGETHER AND WATCH RATATOUILLE! OMG NEW DATE IDEA!!!

9) 10 Things I Hate About You- This is another one of my favorite movies I watch every time it's on. I think this one is not only a fun rom com... but it'll make you feel like a teenager again. Plus it is also based off of Shakespeare's Taming of The Shrew- which is fun too.

10) How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days- Since we're on the "10" Rom Com things... this movie is just silly and its always been one of my favorite rom coms. I feel like this doesn't hold up quite as well as some of the other one- but it still has a special place in my heart... sort of like Serendipity. I think if you watch this on Valentine's Day you'll have fun no matter who you're with.

So those are my 10 picks. I hope you guys like this list... and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with my Bachelor recap!

BYE!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
