Woman Crush Wednesday: Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer

So 2 of my most recent woman crushes just happen to be two of the funniest women on TV. Abbi and Ilana are the stars of Broad City, which is my most recent obsession and they are awesome!

So first off the show is amazing! I watched the first episode and I really loved it but then missed all of the other episodes... but my friend Alyssa told me "NO! WATCH ALL THE OTHER EPISODES THEY ARE AMAZING!" And I did and they were. I mean there's a whole episode about hiding weed inside of your vagina. There's an episode where there is a blackout and Abbi has to poop and the toilet doesn't flush and her cute neighbor comes over... its just all so funny. Amazing concepts and Abbi and Ilana are just so funny and awkward and weird that they make the show all that much more amazing.

Amy Poehler produces the show also and she guests stars in the season finale and that's how I knew that this would be super funny. If Amy Poehler thinks its good, it must be good. And that just makes them all that more woman crushable... if one of my ultimate women crush has a women crush on these too ladies... that must make them the most funny and awesome women crushable ladies of ever. That makes sense right?

For some reason this show really reminds me of myself and my friends, but we are honestly aren't that much like them really. Like I've never done anything that the two of them have done... other than in the first episode they're desperately trying to get money and usually I'm pretty broke sooo that's something I'd totally do. It's easy to relate to, even if you haven't been through any of these situations. It's a show for 20 something girls about 20 something girls and how they really are. My friends and I aren't anything like the "Friends" gang when they were in their 20s... we're like these girls, We talk about disgusting things and we over-share and we're just real. I mean there's a scene where Abbi and Ilana are skyping while Ilana is having sex. That has never actually happened to me and I don't think it ever will... but thats kind of the close relationships that we have. There are not that many boundaries.

And it seems like "Ohhh another show about girls in their 20s we totally need that" but no. It's different. It is a lot like Workaholics with girls, but at the same time its a different humor. I think guys should like it too. I'm going to force my guy to watch it eventually because I think he'll like it. It's totally something good to watch with your boyfriend or just watch with another friend thats a girl or something like that.

It's a fun show, these girls are awesome and totally make the show... I think they work nicely as a team without one outshining the other, which is good. And it's just nice to watch a show like this. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

Byeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
