It List: April 2014!

1) iPad mini- sooo my wifi in my dorm just broke recently and I've been using my iPad for all of my internet uses because I just use the 3G. And I love it. It's easy to take anywhere, I can literally do anything on my iPad and I just have a lot of fun using it. Sometimes I get a crappy signal or whatever, but overall do love! I'm not telling you to go out and spend a lot of money on this thing just cause I love it, I'm just saying if you were thinking of getting it, get it! It's good!

2) Broad City- I watched the first episode of this and loved it but then I kind of stopped. But Comedy Central has a new app that I just got for my iPad and it has every episode on... So I started watching it again and became re-obsessed. It's so fantastic. If you are a girl in your 20s and you're broke... This is a show for you. It's not like me, but it is like me at the same time. I love it and will probably watch a lot more. The stars of the show, I've never heard of before but they are the funniest people. Hannibal Burress is on it and he's super funny. They have guest stars like Amy Sedaris, Ana Gayaster and I believe Jason Mantzoukas is on it as well. Produced by Amy Poehler... So you know it's good right there. Just sooo funny. It's a lot like workaholics but for girls... It's just great! They're touring in the fall too and I kind of want to see them.

3) M&Ms Salty and sweet snack mix- I love these. Ive been really liking peanuts and almonds lately for some reason so I've been trying a lot of snack mixes. This one is probably my favoritte. There are three different favors, I just finished up the peanut M&Ms one that comes with peanut M&Ms, almonds, pretzels and shortbread cookies. They have a milk chocolate flavor and a dark chocolate flavor that are delicious also. Such a good snack! It is very addictive though and you may end up finishing the bag before you want to. Just a heads up!

4) Amy Schumer- I have such a woman crush on Amy Schumer... It's not even funny. She will most definitely have a WCW if she does not already. I haven't watched all that much of Inside Amy Schumer, but I've rewatched her standup recently and she is one of the funniest comedians ever. I
really think she would be fun to see live because she just has great timing and she's just awesome. I mean she's this cute blonde girl that says the dirtiest stuff. Her special is called mostly sex stuff. She's just so great, she totally owns her sex life and it's just incredibly funny!

5) Not Your Mother's sea salt texturizing spray- So I went home last weekend and when I went back to school I realized that I left all of my Ouidad products to make my hair look normal at home. I figured if I used this it would at least make it look like my hair is supposed to be messy and mermaidy...but it made it look super curly and just really really good overall. When I first bought it I was a little scared to use it because I thought it was drying out my hair, but now I'm using a lot of moisturizing things that I think it's doing pretty good. I think I'm going to check out a few more things in the line as well since it's so affordable and I've heard good things of the other products. I'll probably do a review on those pretty soon.

6) Comedy Central- i just feel like Comedy Central in general has been killing it with their shows.
I'm even a bit bummed about Colbert leaving to replace Letterman just because I love their Late Night Lineup so much. I have a feeling they'll find someone good to fill in the 11:30 spot though. Amy Schumer would be good, also I would like seeing Tina Fey since I wanted her to replace Letterman originally. I thought Louis Ck would just because of his show but knew it would be unlikely because he doesn't like to film Louie on days when he has his daughters. I'm excited. Even a full hour of The Daily Show I would love to see.

Anyway back to the point Comedy Central is awesome because of  Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Amy Schumer, Broad City, Kroll show, Workaholics, @ midnight and they just have the best shows on tv right now. They have a nice app too which I just downloaded and have been loving. And Review of corse... I loveeee review!

7) Chicken and Vodka Sauce Pizza- this is awesome. You know I love Penne Vodka- this is like a lovely mix of penne vodka and pizza and chicken... Soooooo sooo good.

8) Orange is the New Black Book- just watched the new trailer for season 2 and I CANNOT wait! But in the meantime,I decided to start reading the book again. It's just a powerful story. Once I finish it, which will hopefully be very soon- depending on my school schedule. It's not exactly like the series, but so far there are a lot of the same characters.

It also came out that the real girlfriend that got Piper sent to prison didn't consider herself her "girlfriend" but more of a "friend with benefits." What a dick! Piper doesn't mention them being sexual until after Piper helped her get the drugs... But I mean still. I'm pretty sure Piper was in love with her and I don't think she would have agreed to help her otherwise... and it's kind of a dick move to get this girl involved with your drug cartel and then turn her in. It's probably more of a dick move for the fake Alex, but this woman sounds like a maniac that just gets people to do things for them and doesn't care what happens to her after,

Idk just an opinion based on a tv show and a book. I know I don't know these people in real life.

9) Wet n' Wild Megalast Nail Polish in On A Trip- I LOVE this color! These nail polishes are probably my favorite drugstore polishes and they are less than $2... which is insane. The color is sooo sooo pretty. It's like a really lovely color that looks perriwinkle when you first apply it... but it kind of changes to a light purple when you add another coat. I think I heard they might be discontinuing this... which I am not okay with now. I love this polish! I have 2 others from the megalast line and one from their other nail polish line that I didn't like as much... but this color and formula is the best for the springtime. I also have a darker color called Disturbia that I love for fall and winter and a color that I just got called Heatwave that's a nice spring/summer color but I haven't tried it out yet. These are good guys!

10) Cyndi Lauper- I love Cyndi Lauper guys! I am currently obsessed with all of her songs. I heard True Colors in a taxi and then they played Jesse's Girl which is ANOTHER AWESOME SONG! But then I decided to listen to Cyndi Lauper on Pandora... and it was probably one of the best decisions of my entire life. They give such a good mix of 80s songs on that station. Not just Cyndi Lauper, but they played some Madonna, Queen, Foreigner, Pat Bennatar, They played Take On Me which had been stuck in my head since watching Ass Backwards... just soo many good songs. I definitely definitely recommend Pandora for that station alone. So good!

Every once and a while you just need a lot of 80s music in your life... this weekend has been one of those moments.

I feel like I could go even further with this list... there are so many podcasts I've been listening to, shows I've started watching... just a lot of things. I'm going to leave it off on these 10 because I feel like these are the Creme de La Creme of the month and should definitely be things you are eating/watching/using/listening too.

BYEEE!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
