Shannon's Sick Day Essentials.

Heyyy guys. I'm sick right now... not sure when I'm going to be posting this, but as of right now I have a fever, sore throat and I can't stop sniffling and sneezing... so here are some of my "sick day essentials."

First off I like to have warm pajamas, cooler pajamas and blankets and robes like everywhere. This helps me a lot because I've been getting super cold at some points and then I've been overheating and its just been good to have an easy change of pajamas to fix that. Ain't nobody got time for jeans or real clothes, so the pajama switch is ideal.

Next you're going to need a puppy or a cat or some sort of animal. This is optional but seriously puppies are twice as adorable and funny when you can barely think. Everything my dog Spencer has been doing today is absolutely adorable.

I also recommend cold drinks if you have a sore throat. I like Milkshakes, there is this place called Cheeburger Cheeburger that has the most delicious milkshakes on the planet and the widest variety of flavor combos and all of that good stuff. I had a s'mores milkshake on friday and my parents got me a chocolate cherry amaretto one today... so damn good. I don't know how many of these there are, so if all else fails, caramel fraps and dairy queen blizzards are good too. Or Frosty's. All so good.

I also recommend having a parent, guardian, significant other or someone to take care of you. If I were at school right now I'd probably have to go all the way to McDonalds by myself to get a milkshake and food, but thankfully they are amazing and got my milkshake for me.

Another thing is a good dumb tv show or movie. I love Breaking Bad and would probably like watching it on a sick day... but at the same time I think watching something like Trophy Wife is wayyy better. I watched some of that before and some youtube videos, and I may watch the new Skalar Brothers standup special on Netflix, or Bob's Burger's or Benchwarmers. This is not a time to watch Citizen Kane or The English Patient. This is a time to watch something stupid and funny or something on TLC. Despicable Me or any cartoon in general is great to watch on a sick day.

I also like listening to podcasts. I had a washcloth over my forehead before and was listening to Skalarbro County until falling asleep. It was really relaxing. They were talking about some sort of Packers fan website where they think people will end up being catfished... it was interesting.

Normally I'd say read a book, but my eyes have barely been open today. I'm reading Orange is The New Black right now though.

Ohhh and tissues and medicine and water and soup never hurt either. And some moisturizer for under the nose.

Byeee!

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...

Uhhhh... Where Have I been?

So it hasn't been that long- but I did mention that I wanted to keep this more of a daily-ish blog than I have in years past... and my last post was the  4th and today was the 11th. Did I give up on my resolutions already?  No/Sort of... sooo basically I was kind of considering the real start of the new year January 5th... I was very busy with work things up until the 4th... the 4th was the big work event that I had to do... and then after that I could focus on whatever I wanted to focus on... and my blogs were going to be the number 1 thing that I focused on for sure... I might miss a few days... but surely I'd do something for this blog right on the 5th after the big work thing was done... so just leading up to that as long as I post something- everything is good right?  Nope- I realized my room design... needed some refreshing. And then one project turned into several projects and then that took a few days... I think I started on doing stuff on Wednesday of last ...

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...
